Spore plant?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 1:26 pm

I just read on http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Spore_plant that the Spore Plant will also be in FNV. Is this true, does anyone have a link where this is confirmed?

I wonder if Seymour is still around. It would be nice to see a giant friendly plant. How he could have gotten to Vegas is beyond me though. Maybe it could be one of his offspring.

I think I remember people talking about it from an article. No idea where, though.

Also; did this make anyone else want to create a plant-creature in Spore?

Yeah uhm, here: http://www.gamesradar.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=1591929

http://fronttowardsgamer.com/2010/06/03/front-towards-gamer-radio-episode-7-larry-liberty-senior-developer-for-fallout-new-vegas/
Front Towards Gamer podcast features an interview with Fallout: New Vegas producer Larry Liberty. The only new information is the return of the spore plants, some info about radio stations in the game and the game having a definitive ending.

I don't have the time to check out the podcast but whatever, was the closest I could find.
(Tried to search through all NMA news tracking back to march using the keyword spore and plant as well as doing the same on the wikia's news backtracking to early june. So if this one isn't the right one then I'm out, :P I don't have the patience to search anymore. ;) )

Hate hate hate spore plants.

Then again, with the whole real-time combat these days, hopefully I won't miss the bastards as often anymore.

At the very least they're rooted to the ground so hopefully it won't be too hard to shoot em'. :tops:

Someone remind me to always carry a flamer when the game is out. At least we won't be ambushed by groups of them, making me wonder how the hell that could happen.

Unless they have learned to walk. Then we're all doomed. DOOMED I SAY!

Yeah they were one of the most annoying (but creative) enemies in fallout 2 along with the mantis.
Did their thorn thingies they shot at you do anything?
Remember we could pick them up but could never find a use for them.

I just hope they still look (mostly) like the originals, and that there is at least one that can talk :)

I think you could only use them as a very weak throwing weapon.

They were creative, but rather useless. I hope they don't make a return.

Talking plants? Interesting.
Maybe we'll find one or two in the Jungle Vault.

They should be all around the wasteland (Well, in reasonable numbers).
There's no reason to have them secluded to one area really.

I wonder how far the vegetation of that vault reaches..
