Ok I'm building my PC and on Newegg the guy uses a SATA 3 cable for the SSD. Well I don't have a SATA 3 cable but I have an extra SATA 2 cable, can I use that instead?

Yes, according to Wikipedia, SATA 3 (technically SATA 6Gb/s) is backwards compatible with the old SATA 2 (technically SATA 3Gb/s) standard. It should work.

Yes you can use a SATA 2 cable with SATA 3, they are compatible.

You might see a bit of lost speed, but I doubt it, Most SSDs only use half the bandwidth of SATA 2 still.
