Staff and circlet crafting

Post » Thu Jul 12, 2012 11:15 pm

I don't know if this topic has been discussed before. I ran a search and nothing popped up.

Does anyone wish they could craft a circlet they want instead of searching and hoping to get the one you want eventually? Does anyone actually use a staff? I realized that I only used a staff a couple of times ever and I bought this game on 11/11/11.

I'd like to use firewood or even better, use a woodcutter's axe on a tree to get a few branches and use them to make blank staves and put on a custom enchantment of my own choosing. Maybe differnent woods for different staves? Also thow in a soul gem when you craft it so have it fixed at the top of the staff. It would be cool to have a staff coated in bone meal with a black soul gem on top which gives off a glow with black mist coming off of it... you know... if your into necromancy. Or a gem that burns like fire, sparks with lightning or has the freezing mist of ice.

I'd like to make a staff with things other than wood too.

Dwemer staves, quicksilver, moonstone, gold, silver staves. Maybe a staff with gems on it. Maybe staves that look like something that would match the bonehawk jewelery.

I'd love to see this put into some DLC in the future or something. I hope I'm not the only one.

You can craft staffs in the autranoch forge in the midden in the college of winterhold.
But it's only set stuff.
I hav'nt been bothered enough to do it. You need items for it, it's annoying.

I wish they were in smithing and you could make enchantable and upgradable ones.
Staffs can be made of metal, just make them of the same stuff as the rest of the things in smithing.
Just put staffs into each type of smithing, or put them seperate in their own part.
And make the done ones destructable.

I would love to make circlets. There is not reason why they ar'nt in jewelery. It's stupid.
They are made from the exact same items as everything else in smithing or jewelery.

Staff and circlet making should be in the vanilla game, never mind dlc.

Yep, totally agree with that . :) Would love some more staffs(+other designs) too + be able to craft them.
Circlets could be added for crafting in the jewelry section of the forge?

I just don't use them too often cause ( as i read) you'd have to level your destruction/illusion/etc skills first to not have them to be realoeded too often. (gneh i dont like destruction magic but i like destruction staffs) ^^

I haven't used a staff very much so I forget if this happens. Does your guy use the staff as a walking stick if wielding it while walking? Since I already have the very best headgear I'll ever get crafting circlets isn't for me, but I would still like to see it. Plus staff crafting would be cool to see. I love that I can finally craft arrows so I hope they add more items that are uncraftable to be craftable.

Staffs attack from a distance by firing magic. You don't hit with them. When walking or running with them active, they hold them off the ground at various angles.

No you don't use a staff as a walking stick which would be nice to be able too. But yea I really want to be able to create staves. The ones in game look great in comparison to oblivions. Just it svcks certain staves will only have spells of a set school I.e. all destruction are the dragon staff save for falmer versions or unique(if there are any).
