[REQ] Staggering overhaul.

Don't mean to casually request overhauls as if they're quick mods, but this isn't really that much of an overhaul kinda-sorta, and I'd just like to throw this idea out there.

In Skyrim, correct me if I'm wrong, getting hit while blocking causes you stagger way more often than getting hit while NOT blocking. This is completely counter-intuitive and makes no sense. Most of the time when you're hit by an enemy in Skyrim you are budged in no way. Maybe if it's a powerattack you'll stagger (I don't really remember), or maybe it'll cancel your current attack (don't really remember either), but you are not staggered.

But when blocking, that is, when you are preparing and tightening you're body for an incoming blow, you are budged.

I suggest we do the opposite.

Have attacks upon you while not blocking stagger you significantly more than you are staggered while blocking in the current game. And keep blocked attacks pretty much the same, or maybe be staggered a little less.

Of course, this may cause balance issues with playstyles unable to block, but I'm sure they're a solution.

(Oh, and just throwing a second idea out there. Have the direction of attack alter the direction that the enemy/player is staggered. Make weapons feel like they have weight behind them. Just an idea)

When you are hit while blocking you stagger a little bit, BUT you take very little damage too. It's a trade off. With your suggestion we have to really think a lot if it would not overpower sword+board style, for instance. I think it's hard to say without testing.

Add a huge stagger when you're not blocking, keep the tiny stagger when you are blocking and increase melee damage levels. Makes melee combat more tactical and realistic. Nothing pisses me off more than spamming the mouse button and watching the enemy have zero reaction.

Seriously, has anyone seen those fist fights between NPCs? They just pound on eachother, but their fists don't even budge the other NPC.

Same with wolves. They charge you at full speed and pounce onto you, but they just ding off of you like you're the mass of Nirn. I suggest http://imgur.com/WlAqF.jpg
