-Framerate is very stable.
-Save size in comparison to FO3 are much smaller despite having done a magnitude of exploration and quests.
-I'm butthurt about the balancing of perks per 2 levels, but this is much better than Fallout 3's broken VATS gameplay.
THE BAD:
-Infinite loading screen crash (It only seems to rear its ugly head if you rely on autosave for too long without doing a manual save, weird)
-Long loading screens for buildings & caves
-It doesn't cache previously entered areas anymore, if you enter a house then exit back you still get loading screens (Fallout 3 did cache correctly)
I don't mind the small hiccups that come with territory of a huge open-ended game like Fallout, but the constant loading is trying my patience. I haven't experienced any game breaking bugs or anything of the sort, what I have experienced is a tremendous amount of loading. I'm rocking with a much faster harddrive (7200rpm 16mb Black Scorpion) than the stock PS3 units have and I still have get to see longer load screens than Fallout 3.
Anyhow, if anyone at Obsidian is reading this I would appreciate it if you were able to at least fix the caching issue. Whenever you load a new area and you return to the previous one, it shouldn't give you a long loading screen (if at all). Entering and exiting the Mojave Wasteland is fair enough with load times, but being within caves/dungeons/buildings and going back to a previously entered area should not give you the same load times. Fallout 3 did this correctly, New Vegas might have done it correctly before it was patched, since I never played vanilla unpatched New Vegas I'll never know.
Who knows, maybe if you fix the lack of cache it might even knock off the infinite load screen crash. Two birds with one stone.
