Starting to lose interest in Skyrim

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 9:10 am

Yeah i've never been a fan of kiddie-nect to be honest.

It's not used for 'serious' games, and therefore it's only suitable for children? I don't understand. I'm not sure about you, but I love playing a light-hearted, enjoyable game. I love having a game of Wii sports with my friends, a bit of mario kart with my family.

And Kinect also has its 'serious' uses - for example, providing a new way of using follower commands, hot keys and quickload/save mechanics. It's free, to be included in a patch. Don't want it? Don't use it. I'm afraid to say that nobody is going to like all of the DLC and new features that Bethesda puts in :)

Yeah i've never been a fan of kiddie-nect to be honest.

Altering the name of a device to include slang for the younger generation is a bit pathetic, don't you think?

I highly doubt that KInect is the big surprise, seeing as it only affects XBox players.

the kinect features for skyrim are anything but simplistic or childish.

it will impact the actual gameplay.

Well, after six month I don't think it's surprising, especially for a single player game.

TBH, the character I'm playing will be the last one and I think I don't plan on playing Skyrim again until new content is released. I don't have time for modding and, as much as I would love to create something myself, I'd rather wait for Bethesda to do it.

In the meantime, I'll move on to other games... Risen 2 is out this week and that will probably keep me busy for one month, maybe more if it turns out to be as good as the predecessor.

As long as I get to stand there, continually sling my arm forward like a baseball pitch and scream "lighting bolt" over and over, it will be worth it!

Rude to keep us all wondering when exactly it will come out.

see i Disagree, i can understand your position on this but generally more game companies other than Beth and Blizz should have ''hey its done when its done'' policy that way they get more time and freedom.

The reason they say ''the week of april 23rd'' is so they have 5 working days to release there info as things will be chopping and changing until it is released and likewise will continue to do so until it is live.

There is another thread that has the topic this has fallen into... It is great that they are not rushing the production to meet some random deadline. But all I want is a glimpse into what's coming.

The news came around April 12/13 and there have been several reviewers, an official trailer, and an official blog made about it. Would be a really jerk move if they did an April Fools joke on April 13th and made all this hype about it.

Maybe, just maybe they are going to keep saying "Oh it has issues we are repairing, etc." making up excuses ALL the way up until April 4th 2013 and then come out with "Ha ha!! Best April fools joke ever!! N0035!"

I've lost a lot of interest in Skyrim and that's a shame because I love TES. Maybe I'll put it back in again if I'm bored but with other games out there like Fallout 3, New Vegas, Witcher 2, Reckoning, Dragon's Dogma, Oblivion, etc, I have plenty of games to keep me occupied.

I doubt it was the kinect. I don't think they would let such a large amount of hype build up to have the surprise only impact the portion of the gaming community that plays on x-box, and even then only those who own kinect.

I'm hoping for some DLC or at least a trailer for some DLC. Honestly, I'll even take a new project announcement, but I'd prefer something TES related.
