Story: Einar Vunjulf was born on the 19th of Rain's Hand, 4E:172, on small cottage just on the outskirts of Falkreath. His Father was a high-ranking Legate in the Leigon and his Mother was a healer and priestess of Mara. In 4E:175, near the end of the Great War, Einar's father suffered a serious injury and was near-death. He was being hospitalized at a temple. Word reached his mother, and she hastily traveled with Einar to see her husband. Just outside of Bruma, the group of caravans that Einar and his mother were in were attacked by Aldmeri skirmishers. Using what little destruction knowledge she had, Einar's mother did her best to defend her son and the other civillian caravaneers, but was struck down by an Aldmeri soldier. Everyone was either dead, unconscious or injured. One of the soldiers found Einar and was about to stab him, but an arrow pierced his heart before he could do so. A small group of Leigonnares had attacked the group of Aldmeri Soldiers. Credited to the element of surprise, the outnumbered Leigonnares managed to kill off the Aldmeri soldiers and began to secure the civillians. Einar was found by Jorik, another Legate and a close friend of his father. Jorik took Einar in and raised him as one of his own. Jorik later learned that the Temple that Einar's father was hospitalized in was burned down to the ground by Altmer High-Mages. Einar learned what became of his parents at the appropriate age,
For the next several years, Einar and Jorik lived in Bruma. The two Nords made frequent visits to Skyrim, often going there to hunt much finer game. Jorik trained Einar in both Two-Handed weapons and Swords. During his spare time, Einar dabbled in Alchemy, and heavily practiced restoration magik. Despite Nords' distrust of the Arcane, Einar pursued restoration in honor of his mohter. That, and Jorik had taught him to always be pragmatic over idealistc. Once 17, Jorik and Einar traveled to Skyrim once again. Einar had to kill an Ice Wraith, as was a common tradition for when Nords ascended into Manhood. He killed one, but was ambushed by another. Jorik was watching closely by, and saw the danger. He rushed over to help Einar, but Einar had already dispatched the second Ice Wraith. Jorik was very impressed. After that, Einar and Jorik traveled to Skyrim a lot more, taking up the Sellsword trade. The two also moved to Bravil, where Einar became the part-time apprentice of a local Blacksmith, and earned spare coin working in the nearby mines.
In 4E:200, Einar and the old-aged Jorik traveled to Skyrim via a group of caravans. They were traveling to Skyrim for a chance to bathe in the exquisite hotsprings of Eastmarch. On the way, their Caravan group merged with another - a Stormcloak supply envoy. The Caravan group was nearing Dark Water Crossing, where it was ambushed by the Imperials. Because it was at night, the Imperials were mistaken for bandits, Einar, the Caravan guards and Stormcloaks all tried to fight them off. Then, a charismatic voice broke the sound of swords clanging, ordering everyone to stand down. Somone who appeared to be the Stormcloak's leader (later realized to be Ulfric Stormcloak himself). Einar felt a strong sense of admiration for this leader and his rationale.
The Imperials began sorting out the Stormcloaks from the Caravaneers. They searched the civilians. Upon searching Jorik, an over-zealous and rash Imperial found his inscribed Talos amulet. He dragged the old man and threw him in front of everyone, spitting on him and revealing that he was a 'filthy, seditous Talos worshipper.' The officers told the soldier to leave him alone, but he continued to demoralize Jorik, handling him very roughly. He then preceded to stab Jorik in the neck, killing him. Enraged, Einar's anger and sorrow took the best of him. He gripped a piece of broken cobblestone from the floor of the road and charged at the soldier. He kneed the soldier in the rib cage, then punched him in the throat with his free hand and then tripped him. He pinned the soldier to the ground with his knee (resting on the soldier's chest) and repeatedly bashed him over the forehead with the piece of gravel. Einar was hitting so hard that he broke the soldier's skull and felt his hand sinking into his dented brain. Before he could do anything, the Imperials intervened. He was first kicked in the temple, sending him over onto his back. He was immediatley greeted by a boot to the face, knocking him out.
Einar then awoke on a carriage. Accompanied by a Stormcloak named Ralof, Ulfric, and horse thief who seemed to have been on the prison band-wagon for a long time, given his smell. Thus, Einar's real adventure began.
