StarX's Releases

Just a handy little thread so I can keep track of my own stuff easily and hopefuly it may be nice for other peeps as well. I've done tons of stuff over the years, mostly for other mods and projects so with the exception for The Arsenal this thread will focus solely on my released mods.

StarX Vanilla Vampires Revised

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/533-starx-vanilla-vampires-revised/ http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16417

Probably my biggest release. Not fuly supported at the moment but since the last update it has been cleaned, made as bugfree as possible and includes an OOO/FCOM patch. This overhauls most of the vampire dungeons and includes several vampires clans/houses (with one joinable faction) and a joinable Vampire Hunter's Guild. Also includes a pretty cool vampire death sequence. Tons of new weapons, items and armor have been added and it includes an excluse armor made by Sinblood that is worn by one of the bosses.

The Arsenal

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/580-the-arsenal/

A collaboration with InsanitySorrow to bring a huge collection of realistic looking weaponry in Oblivion. Mobs balanced, leveled lists and FCOM patch available. Each model and texture has been created from scratch.

StarX Witchhunter Armor

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/104-starx-witch-hunter-armor/

Made after a request to hunt down evil in style. HGEC version included.

StarX Witcher Based Outfit

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/134-starx-witcher-based-outfit/

Loosely based on the outfit worn by Geralt of Rivia from the RPG "The Witcher". Includes a female version as well.

Serentin Vampire Armors

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/436-serentin-vampire-armors/

Created for the Vampires of House Serentin which was going to be a follow up on SVVR. The mod never made it to release, so I decided to release the armors seperately. Fits nicely with SVVR.

StarX Katanas

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/376-starx-katanas/

10 retextured katanas with several themes. Available as dai-katana as well for two handed combat, making it twenty new weapons in total.

StarX Better Book Covers

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/867-starx-better-book-covers/

High resolution texture replacer for the vanilla books.

StarX Mysterium Xarxes

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/875-starx-mysterium-xarxes/

High resolution texture replacer for the vanilla book.

StarX Hi-Res Lich Texture

Download and screenshots: Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/884-starx-hi-res-lich-texture/

High resolution texture replacer for the lich. Making lichs a bit more fearsome.

StarX Heron Katana

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/107-starx-heron-katana/

A realistic looking katana based on the Goldbrand model.

Hope's Fire Resource

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/664-hopes-fire-resource/

Another colaboration with InsanitySorrow to bring back an artifact from Morrowind.

Tamriel Worldspace Creaturepack

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/488-tamriel-worldspace-creature-pack/

Several creatures that can be used by modders to spice up their mods!

Mystic Flames Resource

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/411-mystic-flames-modders-resource/

Enhance your dungeons and locations with red and green colored flames.

Flake Shield

Download and screenshots: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/741-flake-shield-resource/

Made after getting excited about Skyrim. Just a shield that may be used as a resource.

Heron Mark Swords

Download and screenshots: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11132

My first mod ever and my first attempts at playing with textures. It's pretty bad now, but it still makes me smile!

CM Partner Morgana

Download and screenshots: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13514

A companion based on the CM partners mod. She's hard to track down at the start as she wanders all around Cyrodiil.

Brighter Drop Lit Torches with Weight

Download and screenshots: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13448

Made for Delte as he wanted this and it was a quick and easy mod. Nothing special as the hard work was already done by Frugal.

That's all folks!

Cheers,

StarX

It's possible to make a model of the two swords together and have them equip to the back, but they'd only be for show.

Oh btw, I think TA should get top listing

Most people would settle with just for show! We should put something like that in TA's next version.

And no! Me vampies get toplisted! But it is a close call between the two of them!

We've done something like that with the Tonfa, except there was a script that swapped them out when you draw them :D, But yeah something we can add.

Well as long as TA is up there I'm happy.....for now :lmao:

StarX Vanilla Vampires Revised has been updated to Beta 3 and has been cleaned with TES4Edit. I figured I already had done that last year while fixing various other things, but it's clean now!

Also a small teaser for StarX Witcher Based Outfit V2, which will also include new weapons and a Witcher race:

I realy enjoyed your vampire mod and probably some of your other mods to over the years. I'm glad to hear that it's compatible with FCOM since I try to build my setup around it. It's awesome to see a vamp burst into flames in front of you. I'll look into it once more. Keep up the good work!

Hey StarX, thanks for all the great work!

I'm trying out your much lauded in these forums, Vampire mod and have a question.
I Bain prepped your Vampire mod and I can't find any mention of this in the read me and think I might've missed it being mentioned or somehow tossed a readme that explained them, so forgive me if it's in there but...
What do the Nolightscript spell and Whitespell esp's do exactly?
And do I need them?
I am using Arthmoors awesome Cava Obscura so I didn't think they'd have anything to do with that, {that's the only lighting based mod I use other than what all natural does} and bashing everything so hopefully all will be well.

Hey Apothekari, these are what the plugins do:

STX NoLightScriptSpell.esp: Removes the magic effects from scripted spells, though it's probably better to use one of the more recent script effect silencers nowadays.

STX WhiteLightSpellNoEffect.esp: Changes the default green color of Light spells into white

You don't really need them, so they're optional.

Good luck! :foodndrink:

Sweet...I'm definitely using the White Light .esp, the green light effect has always bugged the crap outta me.

Also I ran into my first Vamps...man...They're scary now and powerful the way they should be. And with the recommended "death" plugin they go all dusty like a Buffy episode!
Truly awesome.
Oh and your Book retex works great with the other book retex mods!

It just occurred to me, now that I use MMM--

I'm not sure if you can answer this, because I only use the standalone vampire death mod at this point and I know you didn't release that yourself, but maybe others know. I haven't encountered any vampires since I installed MMM, so I'm wondering now if MMM will negate the effects of the vampire deaths mod. It has some issues with the also highly entertaining skeletons crumble mod, which was disappointing, though that just replaces meshes and doesn't require an esp, but I thought to myself "well I've always got the even-more-awesome vampire deaths to entertain me!" Now I'm not so sure. Can anyone confirm if the standalone vampire deaths mod still works to any degree while using MMM?

The stand alone version made by Chris should work with every real vampire in your game.

Is StarX Vanilla Vampires Revised compatible with Duke Patrick's Nosferatu Vampires? I've been using Nosferatu for a while now and it basically turns the vampires into what I've always imagined them to be. On the other hand, SVVR introduces clans and quests that I haven't seen done well since Clan Raelu in the M.O.E. mod.

No, it's not compatible with Duke's vampire mod AFAIK.

Most probably not, my mod loads scripts on any actor marked as "vampire" in the CS and such things as the death sequnce, melee combat and reactions to holy water will all conflict. But unload my mod and try StarX mod anyways! You can experience his great quests and other content and if you still want to you can switch back to Duke Patrick's Nosferatu Vampires after that...that is what I did!

Or you may like StarX version of vampires better and stay with his vamps! Vampires are (unlike archery and melee combat) high fantasy and it is really up to you how you want your vampires because "realism type immersion" is not dependent on the "kind" of vampirers you deal with.
