So, of course I loved Fallout 3 and have been eagerly awaiting Fallout New Vegas.

I'm stationed overseas. The game was release today in the states. I checked a store on base and they also released the game. Woohoo right? Went home and installed....but wait a sec...the game won't be 'released' until Friday?

I understand that the release dates were different in the US and Europe, but if I'm buying it on the US release day on a military base, shouldn't I be able to play the damn game and not wait for the Euro date?

Ugh...I guess it's whatever, but it would be nice to have that changed or that I knew it would be like that in advance. I'm sure I'm not the only Fallout junkie here that was let down today

I'd feel for you, but I have to wait for Amazon to ship a copy to Al Udeid. And Lord knows how long it take something to reach an APO from the states.

yes you should, blame steam, it will eventually be the source of all our gaming troubles, just you wait and see.

Are you using a PC or an Xbox 360, or a Play Station? i'm not sure with the others (Steam may automatically search for what country you're in), but with the Xbox 360 you could make a new profile (or even change your own profile's settings) to say you are in the United States. That might make it work. Sorry I can't help more. :/

If its off steam, I'd say its going off your IP address, thus why you are unable to play it.

Now if it was for 360 or PS3, i'd be at a loss for words for ya.
