I'm staying with BRINK, I love it

Everything's so well-balanced in this game, the graphic style is so varied, the sounds all fit well. All the attempts to fix previous gameplay flaws from fps (random grenade kills, lucky spraying kills, too long leveling times) worked perfectly. Each class covers its style very well.

I have a minor obsession with customizing every little thing then recustomizing. Thank god I can mess with all the weapons, outfits, and skill sets. Leveling up to get different skill sets is a painful grind, but even that problem with most fps' was solved by simply lowering the level cap. All of these minor customizations working in tandem during the game.

You know, I wished that TF2 had COD4's weapons when I played it. Now it does in BRINK. In addition to the weight classes, this dual-strategy of TF2-ish tactics and weight-based combat preferences is just amazing. FEAR 2 got me obsessed with weight classes for strategic potential and still has awesome multiplayer. BRINK has the special abilities and game structure though.

Mirror's Edge. Who else would have the simple sense to just copy different game elements that are awesome and put them in together? Mirror's Edge, Team Fortress 2, and Call of Duty 4 are what BRINK is. (plus the graphics style which is unique though post-apocalyptic like many great games have been lately*)

Such a great combination of just the right elements and such attentiveness to fans with their quick updates and soon-to-release FREE "Agents of Change" DLC. They have my respect for this quality.

The only "flaw" would be that it has about $35-worth of content. A flaw that only non-dedicated-fans experience. As a lover of Splash Damage since Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, I don't mind making a little extra donation.

*Borderlands, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, RAGE, STALKER series, Team Fortress 2

agreed.

i love the art style, love the team tactics and how levels play out, and although alot of things could have been executed more precisely , the core game mechanics are spot on, nothing feels cheap and overpowered , games are always intense and fun spirited .

weight class determining weapon loadouts is much better than the standard ,engi=smg soldier= ar, medic= lmg ,etc... and helps create many different playstyles ,getting rid of spam-able tactics is an obvious step in the right direction, and of course rewards for team support being more than a kill is key to killing whats plagueing the fps genre as a whole....thank you SD for having the guts to break the mold.

and now after playing bfbc2 ,kz3 recently ,i can say the s.m.a.rt. system has effectively ruined other fps's for me making me faceplant into walls attempting to vault and mantle or now instead of sliding out of the way of incoming fire i crouch into a nice bullet absorbing meat ball .(you're welcome)

that being said ,i hope that brink will have the legs ( community and dev support ) to stay alive and growing....that means alot more levels to play on and some sort or lobby system for consoles .

This game now makes almost every other game impossible to play for 2 reasons: 1. The SMART system, and 2. Its so addicting! Just so I could have some fun with my friends that don't have Brink, I got into their GTA 4 server. I never felt so empty. Sure, you can jump on cars, and even do some vaults, but it was nothing like Brink. I'm surprised I played it for more than an hour, to be honest.
