Okay when I try to assassinate someone it never works. I'm inches from there back maybe even touching them while I'm crouching and my guy wont perform an assassination attack. Its annoying because I play on master. Can someone help?

Yes I am. The guy knows nothing of me being there so shouldn't I preform a assassination move?

I think there's some ratio calculation that still needs to be done for that animation to execute.


We need the CK to know for sure, but I guess it's related to the health of the mook in question, to the damage one single hit can do. Thus the huge boost to daggers in the sneak tree.

You only do the assassination if every thing is lined up and you will definitely kill them in one strike.

Are you getting one hit kills with sneak attack bonus and just not seeing the throat slit animation?

The fact that he's on master is not helping him. He's only doing half damage from the get-go.

You are on Master difficulty, so you are dealing half the damage.

Only when you can kill an enemy in one stab, you may trigger the animation, so you should put perks on sneak skill to gain 15x damage bonus, and put perks on one handed skill to add to your dagger damage, and get the best dagger available and probably put some perks in smithing skill as well to enhance the dagger, and you would start to see the cut throat animation.

I see it all the time, but I'm playing on Expert difficulty.
