Stealth with 2 handed weapons possible?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 8:12 am

I Started A new Bosmer Illusionist-Archer-Vampire But recently I discovered the joys of the headsman's axe. SO I was wondering if Its possible to be stealthy with a 2 handed weapon. I have muffle and soon to have Invisibility. So I`m not that worried but I would like to sneak around without magic once in a while.

I'm sure it's completely plausible.

We could theory-craft all we want of course, but the only way to really know is to try. So no reason not to give it a shot. :)

mmmmmm I find it to be quite fun. My two handed is only at 18 and my bow does 29 more damage. But I think this is way too fun. Any ideas on how to level 2 handed though?

Leveling 2 handed?
Trainers, but most of all: Just hit crap.

Just be sure to miss! The quickest way to get the villagers after you is to kill their chickens!

You will have 4x damage bonus from backstabs tops.

It should be possible, but don't forget a small portion of stealth is affected by weapon weight. It shouldn't be a big deal but it is something to consider.

6x.

It's not entirely possible, because all weapons except daggers make a sound when they swing, so you can't silently kill one enemy with another nearby.

Six? How do you suppose that?

Been wanting to try this, by the way.

I have been doing this for a while now and I have found that its not only possible but I find it to be very fun. I don`t really have a problem with dispatching multiple enemies even if the weapon makes more sound than normal stealth weapons. I use illusion so if an enemy does spot me I just turn invisible or calm said enemy. Very fun plus the axe I am using looks real cool. I don`t know why but switching to this unimaginably huge axe from using a bow is quite satisfying.

Backstabs only for one-handed (assuming its not bugged)

You can be stealthy with anyone though, even fireball spamming warlock dudes (Though even with silent casting, more then one shot tends to result in dudes following the trajectory, so you need to stay on the move).

Because there's a perk in Sneak tree that increases your melee backstab damage by 6x?

It only increases sneak attack damage for one handed weapons to x6 and then later daggers to x15, I think two handers will be stuck at x2 sneak attack damage forever which will svck.
