Steam achievements not activating...

Post » Wed Mar 09, 2011 12:12 pm

Recently I was looking through my Steam achievements and I noticed that some achievements are not showing as accomplished when they should be.

For example I am currently at level 29 but do not have the "Up and Comer" achievement (Level 20).
The same goes for;
  • Walker of the Mohave
  • No Tumbler Fumbler
  • Outstanding Orator

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way I can fix it?

If you use a console command the achievement system is disabled until you close and re-launch the game. If you want to get a missing achievement you'll need to accomplish the feat again.

This is also happened to me and it is for a achievement I should have got before I even knew of this "console" deal on the PC version. I hit level 30 and I do not have "Boss" achievement. So there is another issue here not this "console" deal. As for the moderator you may want to have the devs look into this so that they can get us our achievements. I am not playing this again for that. They may want to make it so when we hit level 31 in the DLC we get the "Boss" achievement because I doubt I am the only one this has happened to.

You should post this in the hardware forum if you haven't already, I'm not really in a position to pass on bugs to QA.

I just hit level 30 myself with my last but I have achievements disabled so I can't check this out.

Thank you. That makes sense. Though it's unfortunate that I had to use a console command to reduce NPC lag before the bugs were fixed.

LOL! Isn't this the "Fallout: New Vegas PC Issues" which is under the "Fallout: New Vegas HARDWARE and Software Issues" forum? I would gladly post this in the "hardware" forum but I don't see one called that.
