i′m really happy my copie of Brink arrived today.
Here is a picture from it (so you can′t say anithing...):

I want to install the game now. Now my problem:
Steam wants a 5 x 5 CD-Key wit 5 x 5 alphabetic character and numbers Key. In the box under the CD is an sticker thtere is only a 3 x 5 alphabetic character and numbers Key.
Here is a snapshot from Steam:

When i insert the 3 x 5 alphabetic character and numbers Key after this i′ll get this message from Steam:

On the Manual Cover isn′t any Key. Can anyone help me with this?

The game is still locked, it's not released yet.

Dunno, but it's worth keeping this bumped or re-surfacing the issue if it's still around at the official release date.

are you entering the right code? seems like one should be input into the game. i would assume steam is looking for a pre order code outside of it

Hey mate,

there is no other Code in the Box of the game. Only the 15 point key. And Steam wants a 25 point Key....

that's what i'm saying
a cd key is installed from within the game.

the code your trying to input sounds more like a coupon code input, like when you get a steam coupon with a video card for free game xyz

I got it also today and you dont need 5x5, if u typeing in the 3x5 key it says "the game is already registered look in your liabrary" (or something like that) cause its locked till release like mentioned above.

In steam splash screen go under Games select activate games this is where you will cut and paste your key.

download process will start.

Just noticed they have a splash screen for Brink 1st time yaaa.

noooo I cant believe it. I thought Brink has nothing to do with Steam :thumbsdown:

Other games had similar "issues", I believe, because Steam always only displays this standard mask. However, you can enter a valid game-key even if it's not 5x5 characters and it would work.
