Not for me, but a buddy of mine really can't get Steam to run on his PC. I tried fixing the problem for him myself but couldnt figure out why it was doing this... Everytime he tries to log on Steam it gives him an error saying it could not connect. This isint the only thing he can't run through, Blizzards patcher wont launch for him either. I figured it must be a firewall or router thing so I connected his PC direct into the net ( removing the router out of the loop completly ) and shut off his firewall. Still no go.

He's running a fairly new system, every component is 6 months old at the max and hes got Vista 64 bit. Any ideas?

What internet connection does he have?

Like 14 mb/s broadband, regular stuff.
