So you have the game still but can't connect right?
If you don't have any programs from IObit, the work around i found was wait a few minutes while it's trying to connect to steam, then just hit cancel (don't let it finish). The launcher will open, I got about 90 glorious mins in before I had to step away, when I got back steam found the "error" and deleted it. For me there were no issues with playing it, I got micro stutter on friendlies if they were running within 30 feet of me, that's it.
