Steam is preventing me from playing the game.

I haven't been able to log into steam for almost two weeks now. The funny thing is that steam used to work just fine for me and my router never had issues with it in the past. I have tried fixing this problem using their instructions to the letter but still im unable to connect to steam.

Things I have tried....

1. Uninstall/Reinstall Steam (tried this about 3 times now)
2. Checked Spyware/Viruses (formatted my HD)
3. Checked for conflicting programs (Steam one of the only programs on my system as I just formatted my HD)
4. Opened all necessary game ports on my router
5. Deleted clientregistry.blob (tried this about 5 times, no luck)
6. Contacted support and they still haven't gotten back to me yet.

Im all tapped out on my end. The only thing I know for sure is that steam used to work just fine for me about a month ago. Even recently, I was able to log in late at night without problems but even then I wasn't able to play any of my games because the server kept telling me they were all unavailable. Seems like this is entirely steams issue because my equipment worked just fine before and I haven't made any changes to my system save for formatting it which I did only after I started to have problems with steam.

The amount of time I have spent troubleshooting this issue is above and beyond any time I have had to spend on any game I have ever played in the past (been gaming since I had a commodore 64). Paying customers should not be forced to experience this, in fact FO:NV is a single player game, so why do I need steam anyway? It doesn't make sense to me.

I suggest taking this problem to the PC issues section or maybe the steam forums.
