Steam Update for 1C/Cenega version

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 11:51 am

Still no patch in Eastern Europe i see. It's very dissapointing to experience slower service than rest of the world when i'm paying exactly the same for the game as everyone else. Steam prices are noticably higher than store prices anyway, but that doesn't bother me. Digital downloads are considerably more convenient for me than DVD's and i love automatic updates. I hate unnecessary waiting though...

If you do NOT have the 1.2.0285 update yet then count yourself lucky.

The latest patch introduced a load of bugs that I didnt previously have and Im not alone.

Stuff like the launcher crashing when loading and exiting the game - controls being unresponsive when firing the
Cowboy Repeater - moving when not pressing the movement keys....

I had the game running smoothly and with only the occasional crash but since the update its FUBAR.

But still, it would be nice to release patches simultaneously. What the hell, are we some kind of second-class customers? Why Valve, Bioware, EA, Ubisoft and many others can release their patches simultaneously, and Bethesda can't? I don't mean to be rude, or something, but why should I buy legit version and have those problems when I can just download it from torrents and have none?

Guys Your Not 'second Class Customers'. It Takes Time For These Kinds Of Things. Laws Here Are Much Different Than Other Parts Of The World, And Because Of These Laws (As Well As Other Factors) It Pushes The Release Date A Little. I Am An American Citizen, But Spend 9-10 Months (Usually) Out Of The Year In Africa And Well, All Over The World. Even Though I Have The American Version, While In Another Country I Never Get Updates (Us Based Companies) When They Hit In The Us. Its Like This With Everything From Cars To Candy Bars.

It Works Both Ways, I Have Waited And Waited On Stuff That Was Already Released In Europe. Its How The World Operates. Be Patient It Will Come, Its Just Not As Easy As Snapping Your Fingers And It Magically Appearing.

Oh i know things take time and i'm a patient guy actually. It's just that when a patch is released for the English version of the game on Steam and i have the English version of the game on Steam then i'd like to have that patch too :P

I bought the boxed English version, just like the people in the US. But the US customers got the patch. I didn't. Dear Bethesda, please write "By buying this game you agree to become our second-class customer" on the box in the future.

Hello,
I have serious problem with support, how come that 2 important patches, that was released on Steam for PC version of Fallout: New Vegas few days ago, STILL aren't available for everybody who bought this game in Czech Republic, Poland and Russia like me?
EVEN if iam using original english language from install and no some amateur translations... I thought, on Steam i get fast and good quality support no matter what, now i know i was horribly wrong....
Is this some kind of sick joke?! Can we even expect fast (normal/same) future DLC accessibility and support for this game as everybody else?? i guess not when i see this lame support for stupid patch!
I want my FULL support for this game as i have same rights for it as people that bought this game elsewhere!

ur right it's not fair. But to be honest the game runs better pre-patch than after the multiple patches already implemented, and with the new nvidia driver updates it's even better pre-patch for pc users with nvidia cards from the 200 or 400 series. I know this doesn't help, especially when u r not getting what is within your rights, but I hope it eases ur frusteration just a bit. good luck There r sum ways to improve graphics,stability,ect... without the patches..

Well, today they delay "bad patch", next week they would delay "good" patch either. Don't get me wrong, I perfectly understand that updates can break things and not only fix them. I also don't want sound like "wooo bad developers give me patch or I will rant on your forums".

I am seriously sick of all this. Not only can't I play the game anymore (started crashing badly after 40h of gameplay) even though I tried to throw at it everything I could, ran all hardware/software conflict tests I could find, tried starting new game, verified files via steam, even deleted it completely then reinstalled, both from dvd and downloaded via steam. Now I'm also a second-rate customer who doesn't get his support like other people do. I mean, it's not like you parachuted the game to me as a cold-war gift. I paid for the damn thing! And not 30% of the price (which is about the percent of the game I consider complete) but same as everyone! Why, why, why oh why making $300 million on a game can't you afford to at least fix it, if beta-tests weren't worth their price!

Sorry for all the whining, but I really looked forward to this game. And loved it for the time I could play!
It's like a birthday party where they take the cake away from you after slicing it. Oh, and then they give it to your neighbor... or not.

I wouldn't complain if NVSE would work with our current version.
But it does not :brokencomputer:

After updating to v 1.2.0, if you're having issues opening New Vegas, try re-verify the files.

Quote
1) Open Steam
2) Right click on Fallout: New Vegas
3) Hit Properties
4) Click the "Local Files" tab
5) Click on "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"

If that doesn't work, delete your ini files and repeat steps 1-5

If we hear anything about it, we'll let you know. When we release the patch, we're only putting it up for versions published by Bethesda Softworks.
