Steel armor will cap at level 81 the same as Daedric? : V

Just curious about this. I'm level 81 so does it matter what type of armor I wear or does it all cap at a certain number. This is with all skills at level 100 and all armor with max smithing.

Your AR cap is 567, plus the hidden bonus, but at that point it really doesn't matter.

EDIT : Besides, it has nothing to do with your characters level.You can hit the AR cap at level 30.

My armor rating right now in daedric is 769 so is that number pointless than if the hard cap is 567?

Anything over 567 is not doing any good.

There is a detailed explanation and a formula, on the UESP. Wait around long enough and someone will look it up and post it here, like it was right off the top of their head.

If you have the right perks and skill level you can pretty much max DR with almost any mid-range armor (light and heavy). So yes it caps.
