Yeah bones were like that in Fallout as well. Anyone know why? In dungeons I try to avoid stepping on them because they always make me think something is attacking and I start spinning in circles.

Once there was a pile of bones in front of a pit, I walked over them and got knocked down into the pit.. They are more dangerous than most draugrs.

I play with the music off. It was the first setting I adjusted on the day of release. Playing DID is already intense. Creeping around in a dark cave, only to have the controller bounce out of my hands, I bounce out of my seat and my char takes damage....

I guess that simulates you twisting your ankle.

LMFAO that use to happen to me all the damn time! I'd be like WTF! Once I had finished battling a group of enemies and I had very little health left and when i was looting bodies, bones killed me lol

Heh, seriously. Imagine stepping on a bone IRL! As a dog owner who doesn't wear shoes in the house...it happens a bit and it definitely hurts! Of course, I'm not likely to die...unless I trip and hit my head really hard...

*eyes dog suspiciously*

Apparently they are prone to start vibarating on the spot, all the while gaining speed.
When you then are hit by something that has been building up speed a while, itll hurt.

Fast moving objects apply damage through Havok Physics so to say... The bug here is that they get launched unrealistically fast when you walk over them. It might be fixable by changing some variables inside the NIF file that affect this (Weight and a few others, I can't remember the words... Restitution perhaps?).

Physics was way to sensitive in Oblivion when it first came out, this was toned down in a patch. Fallout 3 was the same way and it was toned down too. So, I am hoping this gets addressed. I am playing the beta patch and I need to go find a dungeon. The couple of shovels I tripped on in a mine did not seem as lively, but that could have been where they are.

I just think of it as being like Frank Drebin.

I exploit the physics engine against my foes via telekinesis and iron daggers.
