Still addicted to Mentats

So, I became addicted to mentats. I visited Doc Mitch and paid 50 caps for the detox. Was out and about again only to notice I couldn't pass an intelligence test I should have been able to pass. Pull up my pip boy, go Doc Mitchell and detox again. Well, I'm still addicted to mentats and I'm not sure why. Has anyone else had this issue?

Oops! I still paid to be detoxed, and the screen faded and came back. :unsure2:
