ok I reinstalled fallout new vegas because it kept crashing and deleted all files after install. but it's STILL crashing.

It says "Fallout New Vegas has stopped responding" after crashing. It happens when I'm battling enemies.

Ive tried to "verify integrity of cache" and it still says "1 file failed to validate and will be reaquired" but then if i check afain after it says "steam has finished updating fallout new vegas" I try to verify again and it says the same thing. and still crashes!
