It's not like the dragons are an actual threat or problem, you don't get any recognition for it, and they don't go away at the end anyways...so its kind of pointless.

I haven't so much as glanced at it in weeks. And I don't feel any loss at all. This is meant as a good thing, I hasten to say.

Played in December. Started again last weekend. I'm lvl44 now. I had done a few quests in the questline last month. So I could learn new dragonshouts. But not even at one third yet. (I have not finished Act I, and supposedly there are 3 acts). I might do Act II soon. But then I'll wait another month before I'll do Act III. There are so many other things to do.

did it once, wont do it again, because it is not worth it. Just run around in skyrim doing random stuff, like a typical nord

I still have yet to finish it aswell. 112 hours played. I prefer the side quests and other questlines for the most part. I am considering starting a Nord character just to do the main quest line (Havent played a nord yet).

I have a level 65 character. I keep getting sidetracked. I did the time travel thing with the scroll, then on to 1000 other things.

I usually only do the main quest one time, I've done it twice so far but with 2 different memory Harddrives. I'm 65 hours in my current file and I have no desire to do the main quest at all.

I have spent about 250 hours playing and never even looked at the main quest. I did the same thing in Oblivion. I put over 400 hours in that game and in the end I finally completed it. Just today I went to the Greybeards and I am enjoying the main quest. It has a different feel than doing the other quests and I find it's more immersive and enjoyable for my Nord warrior.

Finished the main quest once. Never will unless I actually feel like it. The game's more fun without dragons.

Its a TES game, finishing the main quest is always the last thing I do. Right now I'm lvl 71 and just went to the greybeards for the first time. Currently slowly chipping away at the main quest while doing all the deadric missions. Everything else except a few townsfolk missions is complete.

Oblivion I even completed Shimmering Isle first. It was a VERY good thing I did.

Spoiler
When I did the mission to close the big gate I was over level 30 and the deadra kept killing the Imperial army and Martin so fast it was crazy. The battle would start, I would kill nearly all the deadra by myself to have 1 get past and kill half the Imperials then Martin. There was nothing I could do to stop them, to many deadra, and at that level it would only take a hit or two for them to kill Martin. Then I remembered the staff that could freeze time. Nope I didn't freeze the deadra.....

I froze the Imperial army and took on ALL the deadra by myself. It was epic  . Since I went into the gate while they were frozen they stayed that way till I came out. All the Imperials remember happening was the first gate opening, and then me stepping out of the big gate with the sigil stone into a field of dead deadra. Yup I felt like the god of madness more right then than I ever did in the Shimmering Isle. Did the same thing in the final battle to keep Martin alive, also good because I took a pit stop to Kill Mehrunes Dagon.

Playing since 11/11/11 and the furthest i've been in the main quest was on my first character who met the graybeards.

On my current character, i haven't even unlocked the dragons yet and i have well over 150 hours on that character.

Lvl 50. Decided the other day to just wrap things up as I was getting a little bored and wanted to try a new char.
Once i actually started, was surprised at how quickly things did wrap up.

Once I determine what I want to do with the Shouts, I don't think I will ever do the MQ again. Since the dragon menace does not go away with the completion of the MQ, I will just stop it from ever starting.

After 250 hours of dragons they are starting to lose their novelty. I probably wont do it again. I did like it very much thou. Definitely better then Oblivion :)

Level 45 here, around 120+ or so. Went to the Greybeards for the first time at level 40 just to "see" what was so special about them. Got bored. Left, been wandering around Skyrim killing Mudcrabs and Draugur ever since. Haven't touched the MQ other than killing the first dragon in Whiterun and seeing the Grey Beards.

Haven't even started. Too much cool stuff to do to get roped into some hokey save-the-realm storyline.

So few arrows, so many knees...

Two of my characters haven't even started it because I use an alternate start mod. And honestly, it's good. Not all my characters can be dragonslayers.

I finally started and finished the MQ this past week on a character with 90 hours of play (though i had another with over 100 that also hasn't touched the MQ) I didn't find it overly compelling and really only completed it to experience how the story went and so i could see how the civil war would play out.

i don't think i'd bother playing through again. but it had some fun moments and i'm glad i gave it a go. dragons don't add anything to exploring in my opinion, shouts are relatively useless and i wasn't impressed with the look of dragon bone armor

You're missing out. It's by far the best MQ in the series and the best I've played this generation.

Haven't finished it, I'll save it for a proper climactic retirement of my 300+ hours character.
