Stocking Up On Sci-Fi

Post » Mon Oct 03, 2011 5:12 pm

I'm looking for a list of Sci-Fi movies and TV shows. Just restocking my list of things to watch on my free time pretty much and I'm on a Sci-Fi kick right now. So far I have:

SG:SG1/Atlantis
Star Trek/TNG
Firefly
Farscape

Anyone have any recommendations? I was thinking of checking out The Sarah Connor Chronicles as well, not to mention some of the older classics such as The Time Machine (1960).

Battlestar: Galactica ?

I personally don't quite like Sarah Conner's Chronicles so I wouldn't recommend.

The Time Machine (1960) was really good, much better than the 2002 version. :meh:

Definitely recommend Akira and even though I haven't watched it i've read the synopsis for it which is very good. I would also recommend the acclaimed Ghost In The Shell as well as the Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex series. Gundam is another good Sci-Fi series along with Robotech and Gundam Wing I would stay away from the other gundam series. Eureka might be up your alley as it's kind of Sci-Fi ish however more down to earth so it may not be what you're looking for. Final recommendation would probably be Armitage III which is very well written and nicely done.

Quick Rundown:

Ghost In The Shell
Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex
Gundam
Gundam Wing
Armitage III
Outlaw Star
Cowboy Bepop
Spaceballs
