For ease im going to number common issues then adress them in the same order.
1. People say that the game isnt as in-depth as the previous ones.
2. npc's are less exiting and or informative.
3. to many bugs.
4. Quests are not enough in-Depth.
5. Forced 3rd person where we had choice before. WTF!!
6. Game not hard enough.
7. RPG elements have been watered down
Ok so here are my opinions on each of the above points
1. I think whilst the game still isnt as freaky and unique as morrowind but is a MASSIVE step up from oblivion. There is a hell load more culture and history imbeded into skyrim, You just have to go looking a little harder. Like in in-game books and stuff. I find that to comprehend the lore you also need a little background knowledge from the previous games. ( I know a [censored] load about TES lore).
2. Some retards complained that the Npc's werent as exiting as the morrowind and earlyer ones. In a way they are slightly less informative due to the fact that skyrim uses audio instead of text dialogue but i think that with voice acting the NPC's are a lot more lovable and they have more personality. this makes the world around them seem more realistic as well.
3. Who gives a fudge about bugs. Whilst they may be slightly annoying, The game is so big that they dont matter, and the bigger ones ussually just require a earlyer autosave load. But this is me playing on Xbox 360, so if your on PS3, bad luck.
4. At first i was dissapointed with this. But then i discovered that the Faction quests actually just get right down to the s**t in their main quest line, But you can always do the more off-topic ones during or after the faction quest line like in oblivion. And thanks to the radiant story thingy there are a [censored] more side quests, But in all honesty they are a little dull.
I love dungeon quests. They are better than any other TES game so far
5. I dont even think this deserves attention. Who really cares. When there is a "cut scene" Its ussually only for a minute at most.
6. Dont be a [censored]. Play on expert or master. I played oblivion on 75% and morrowind on around 80-90%. thats how TES games should be played.
7. TES games were never really the kind of games to give you a specific character to follow so i reakon that if you really want to play as a specific character then this is the perfect game for it. Go buy a house and live quitely or go into the wilds and live on the road. Or be the hero of the realm.
Over all i reakon that whilst we may have lost a little detail in terms of the lore ( More than than oblivion, Less than morrowind) We have been given architecture and more understandable characters with more personality. And if you really are a True elder scrolls fan then you can look past the tiny flaws ( which they have all had so far) and see the beautifully crafted world underneath.
But this is just my opinion and in my opinion TES games are not all about combat and quests anyway, Im just a lore nerd.
Dwemer FTW
