Stop NPC's from crafting?

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 12:24 am

Is there any quick way (or long way even) via an AI package or script to prevent certain NPC's from interacting with workstations? Namely Alchemy, Enchanting, Smithing, Cooking, etc.. I have a few things in mind I'd like to try for an upcoming mod, and I'd like to have some NPC's that freely wander around a room without them all swarming to workstations therein needlessly and wasting their time doing things that might be otherwise out of character for them to be doing anyway.

You can check "ignored by sandbox", and every NPC in sandbox mode will ignore this. You can also set an owner or a faction on the reference.

Hmm.. Ignored by Sandbox didn't seem to work. Tried that and as soon as I entered my test cell, an NPC ran right over to a cooking pot and went right away at it. I'll try tinkering with the faction stuff next.. not sure why NPC's get so obsessed with objects sometimes.

Ignore special furniture in the package.
