Congrats to the writer in blaming the wrong company....Bethesda arent fixing bugs (the only act Bethesda Softworks has is marketing, Bethesda Games Studios is the comapny with the game devs/testers), they are just the go-between for player to obsidian.

Other then that i agree....companies need to do some quality control and release game when they are finsihed not when they are mostly done.

Bethesda also need to stop putting their well earned name to every which game that comes along...these other comapnies mistakes are making Bethesda look bad.

Well, it is usually publisher's decision as to how much time and resources to allocate for testing and quality assurance.

Exactly! Obsidian have made a great game, but it could have used at least another month to fix bugs, but that desicion was Bethesda's to decide to release the game at the planed date, or delay it.

I wonder if a month would be enough? Some of the issues experienced are not bugs. It seems that whole chunks of the game are unfinished or hastily put together. If I was on a PC I could easily understand how their game would have problems. I would have thought a PC would be more buggy because it could be poorly maintained ( read: old drivers or incompatible hardware/software). But this is happening on the 360 and not to everyone. When I read that people need to wear a cowboy hat to enter the Strip or some other weird mixture of things or objects to get past the problem I think it is something more than a bug. Why do some consoles have this issue and not all? Why does the work-around not fix the issue for all?

I don't know....but that doesn't sound like a bug or glitch. Nor do I accept the numerous spots in the environment that my companions or myself get stuck on/in/to/ect... I came out on top of the Cottonwood crater I think it was and Boone fell through the mountain and was stuck. I know this because the mountain was transparent on on side.

Oh well, I hope they at least fix Boone's aggressive only setting. Its funny unless I need to boost my karma and he steals my kills

How many people pre-ordered this game?

Seriously. It was a few days before it became clear to ANYONE just how broken this game was and I had my hands on it day one.

The pre-ordering trend (and the bonuses they offer, yeah I know they're stupid but still...) is big right now.

But I can say with some certainty that I'm going to think twice before pre-ordering anything again.

Pre-order is not something I do. I dont buy anything from EB games any longer after purchacing two broken disks {cracked/sever scratched surface} that they looked at knew had damage put it in the cover anyway. My son opened the case about one mile from the store to discover the defects... I took them back to the store with reciept to same guy at counter in less than an hour who gave me a VERY hard time about getting my money back.

I didnt use boone. Veronica was my buddy along with the ED whom I called EDDIE.

She got stuck in a vault trying to get the gouls in a locked room. I tryed the passive thing but no go she wanted to get them anyway. I warped her out..lol.

By the way anyone know where in the world the "RED KEY" is for vault 19?

I never pre-order. I never even buy games the day they come out. The only reason I have been playing New Vegas is because my neighbor gave me his copy to try out while he played another just released game (that he also regrets buying). My rules for buying a new game are:

1. First go to the games forums and see what people are saying over it.
2. Wait at least one month before buying. If no updates are 'in the works or out' by then wait until its in the used game bin.

These two rules have saved me tons of money on poorly released games no matter how much I may love the series. I will happily wait for a game to be properly tested before it is released even if it is a game I really want to get, like one that is coming out this Tuesday. Fallout: New Vegas may be a good game, but not one I would shell money out for in the state it is in now.
