well i went to search google and in another thread some people said that bodies that have something to do with a quest usually disappear, but other bodies don't, i just don't want my necro to disappear, it was really hard to find

The only advice I have is to set the timescale to 5 or lower so that bodies won't decay as fast.

Well, you have to pull up the command console by hitting the ~ key, then type the following

set timescale to #

The default timescale in Skyrim is set to 20 or 25 I think, not sure. This means that time goes by 20 or 25 times faster in game than it does in real life. By setting this number to a lower setting you can slow down how fast time passes in the game. I usually use 5 for my timescale, which means time in game passes 5 times faster than in real life.

In your house. You would have to lure them into your house though.

You don't really need a high dollar rig for this game. I run Skyrim at ultra settings on a 3 year old system, 260 gtx video card at 1680x1050 resolution (22 inch monitor), 40 fps and the game is very stable.

In fact, my computer runs Skyrim better than it runs Oblivion.

they are my followers so luring them is not a problem, the problem is the fear for them disappearing, which i don't want.

I think named unique people can last forever, or at least I have seen some that just lie there for months looking untidy. I raised one high-level quest-related guy as a thrall about a month after he died, but he refused to fight.

I usually take my companions to my house then kill them and grab another. Soon you will have a lovely collection like mine.

P.S.

In order to get a good collection of heads make sure you save before you kill them.. That way each kill you can make sure you beheaded them.

My beautiful Uthgerd disappeared after 1 day.

Does it matter where you kill them? I killed her at the College of Winterhold in the Hall of Attainment, then she disappeared in a cave.

yea, i guess the best way to ensure their bodies is by having a save file, or maybe not taking longer than a month to reanimate them again.

Yeah you have to kill them in your own house where there are no other perverted admirers who wish to steal your life's work.

I don't know whether to be frightened... or not.

Deciding not, I would like to know as well. There was one video online that I saw where a guy had murdered most of his followers and organized their bodies and heads all over his house.

I'm going to have a hard time getting a Volkihar Vampire to come over for tea before killing them to become a permanent Thrall.

Well obviously... Don't offer tea, offer virgin blood.

It was pretty creepy... it was called something strange, and I'm looking for a link right now for it. He had the heads of about a half dozen followers organized on a bookshelf, and the bodies of two people acting as bed curtains.
