Hi all I came across a few stormcloak camps after I beat the Legion quest line and General Tullius told me if I find these camps to clean them out... Ok so I found a few but the Commanders like Istar Cairn-Braker are unkillable... is this a glitch/bug or is this part of the game and if it is why in the world would they say go clean them out when all the commanders are unkillable??

that is jsut to show, no matter how hard you work, the stormcloaks will never give up, never die out, never lose heart, and will win in the end

It's an oversight I'd say. It should be easy to find out when the constuction set comes out and we can check if there is a script that's meant to run which removes the essential flag from these characters. If so, then it's a bug, which might mean a patch for all formats which correct this.

Hopefully...

To remove all essential characters, just add

[GamePlay]
bEssentialTakeNoDamage=0

to your Skyrim.ini, (in My Documents>My Games>Skyrim).

stomrcloaks are the way,my friend

you can't kill the officers. i never did the stormcloaks, but i always thought it's like that, because they are needed for stormcloaksquests.

I did the stormcloak one on my other char I made but I never really attacked or looked for any of the Legion camps lol

Got the same problem with Legion camps, can kill anything except officers, and it's iritating.

I know they should not be essential after joining one side or the other oh well Bethesda add this in next patch plz doesn't make since when the general or ulfric says to help you can clean the camps if I come across them!

Same thing at Imperial camps. The legates cant be killed. I feel sorry for them though, seeing their men die.
