[REQ]Stormcloak Officer Armor With No Cloak

Post » Tue May 22, 2012 2:32 am

Hey, would someone be able to remove the bear-skin cloak for the Stormcloak Officer's armor? I looked into doing it myself using Nifskope, but I have no idea how to separate it from the rest of the mesh.

Thanks.

I haven't tried to do something like this in Skyrim yet, but in FO3 you could go in the item record and assign alternate textures to parts of armor models. Assigning NullTexture made the part invisible. Different armors were somewhat arbitrary about how they divided up their parts, however, so you couldn't always isolate the portions of interest.

I hadn't thought of that, but unfortunately the entire mesh (minus the body parts) is a single piece.

The Bearcloak is part of the armor. If you cut it out you will have a hole in the mesh. Same goes for the invisible texture.

How sure are you about that? It looked like there was a complete mesh underneath the cloak.

Maybe at the upper body. But there where that beartail is you will get a hole in the mesh. ;)
