Story Continuation My Hopes and Ideas

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:02 am

Hello I have thought of a collection of Ideas for the continuation in the story of Fallout New Vegas, I have thought of many decent Ideas

After the defeat/Victory at Hoover Dam depending on the Couriers choices the game will alter

  • Of course since New Vegas is set 3-4 years after the events of Fallout 3. It would be immensely good if you could import your Fallout 3 character and look at the changes for Good or ill your Lone Wanderer Character has accomplished in those 3 years and what the Capital Wasteland is like with it's new found Fresh clean water e.g. maybe a FEW Trees, Grass is starting to grow thanks to the irrigation.

  • Also the Idea of being able to meet your Lone Wanderer character could also bring a new plot bringing both the Courier and The Lone Wanderer together on a journey to stop the Capital Wasteland from being overrun by the Enclave who have come back with avengance and is in need of your help. This could bring major Plots and bring to light the power and Technology of the Enclave who also contact you with a similar proposal to eradicate the BoS and capture the Lone Wanderer to imprison him indefinetley and control the Capital Wasteland or the Courage and Ingenuity of the Lone Wanderer who is working with The Brotherhood of Steel chapter of the Citadel who have nearly completley rebuilt Liberty Prime and is now known as a Monument to all that are Free.

  • In return for helping the Lone Wanderer and the BoS in destroying the Enclanve, the Courier will recieve a reward of which I have not thought of but will earn undying gratitiude from the BoS, the people of the Wasteland, the Mojave will recieve a massive influx of trade coming to New Vegas. Also he will have the right to call upon support from those in the wasteland is in danger from the Legion or NCR has come back in force to attack Vegas
  • If the Player chose to side with the Enclave they will be credited with the victory recieve various advanced Technologies and also the same ability to call for support should the NCR or Legion return which could be a further subject in DLC.

I know they have already made the DLC but this is just a Idea I had in the last 30 mins

They started a Purifier, not magical seeds of God. It takes more than three years for a tree to grow and Animals to flock I assure you. 20-30 years? Maybe, all in all, a good idea, pushing it to close to the games ending (F3s)

Please no.
We have an entire game for Capital Wasteland.
I either want to see new areas or for Mojave Wasteland to be expanded upon. (Without continuation after main quest.)

The Enclave is dead TC. They shouldn't come back. They've been the villains of two games already, I want more unique villains in the future.

Enclave are like NCR, Unity and BOS.
They might decline in power, forced to hide away and slowly dying out.
But they will never just [censored] die already! >_<
So yeah I expect to see Enclave or Remnants in almost all Fallout games.
I just hope they are handled like they were in Vegas. A limited non-major faction.

i basically disagree with the OP's ideas of merging FO3 and FO:NV

---

and what do you guys think would make a good enemy in the next game?

as i understand, so far the main enemies were the Master, The Enclave, The Enclave again, then whatever the enemy of NV is (3/4ths Caesar's Legion)

For me, i like the Enclave as enemies because of their technology. I think the idea of a group that searches deeper into pre-war technology whilst also moving forwards with tech of their own outclasses sneaky tribals anyday of the week (the sneaky tribals being the Legion)

I'm guessing the next main enemy will be Institute Android Army, Railroad Liberation, Talon Company and Brotherhood Of Good.
I don't mind the Enclave really, as long as it makes sense.
But we blew up the Oil Rig, they should have been gone there, but then they reappeared in FO3, where we blew up Raven Rock, destroyed their Satellite Array Station and blew up their Mobile Base Crawler.
I like Enclave, I really do, but it makes no sense for them to be able to regain the power they had in FO3 and FO2 for at least a hundred years, and that's if the members that are still alive "make whoopie" like rabbits.
So yeah, I'm excited for Institutes Android Army, they'll be the new high-tech faction. :)

Ooo, i would like that, the Institute part at least. Zimmer in FO3 got me curious. By enemies did you mean like the enclave in FO3 or optional enemies like the factions in NV?

And my one idea about origin points could work here, i think it would be cool to play as an android that goes to the railroad to escape the commonwealth. Tho i would really always play as a BoS member first :3

I'd rather not have any faction be "This is an enemy, period." but I do think certain factions should be way harder to help and that they might in fact be hostile to you in the beginning and require you to be more careful in order to help them.
Maybe go in disguise and accept quests from them and eventually be accepted into their ranks without them KOS'ing you.
Maybe just have them be hostile until a certain part in the main quest is reached and a way to help them opens up.
But I don't like the definite enemy thing.
Don't care if there's a group that is filled with psychopathic necrophile cannibals, there should be a way to raise one's rep with them. (Hate that Jackals, Scorpions, Vipers and Fiends are definite enemies.)

yea, i thought the fiends were joinable when i first entered vault 3, but i suppose that isn;t the case

and yea, definite enemies along with definite allies (the Enclave and BoS in FO3, respectively) sort makes roleplaying tough
