Additionally, and more annoyingly, when I through or past things that just filter the light a little bit, such as the branches of a tree, it darkens and gets lighter very quickly. (Glad I'm not epileptic.)
I know that's not a great description so I could try to get a screenshot tonight if you think that may help, though taking a picture of something like this may be equally difficult since you really need to be in motion to notice it.
Now, I played the vanilla game when it first came out up until the middle of January or so. Towards the end, I downloaded a couple of real simple mods (essential horses, essential followers and one that added missing weapons/armor to the forge lists.) I didn't experience the issue with any of those.
Now, a few months later, I've installed a bunch of mods and am having a hell of a time with this lighting issue. I'm fairly certain it must be something in the mods because I've tried adjusting every setting I can find with no luck.
None of the mods I have should affect the lighting, but here is a list of the ones I just recently downloaded:

Worst case scenario, I'll just have to spend an evening turning them off one at a time to see which may be the culprit. My only fear there though is that none of them is the problem individually, but instead, there is some sort of conflict between two of them causing it.
If anyone knows of an issue like this being caused by any of these mods, please let me know. It would save me a lot of time and energy...
And yes, my version of Skyrim is fully updated.
