Stress help.

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 9:30 am

Hey guys. I'm in the army right now and they've been having me do a bunch of different stuff (not physical online classes) and I'm being told by my line chief that I have to have all of my certificate's in for my classes by tommorrow night. Problem is, I didn't get issued my login device until tuesday and I've been trying to get all my stuff done and it's getting down to crunch time and it's not happening.

I need some stress relief tactics cause nothing is working right now.[deleted]

I'm just trying to be real lol but I'll try a cold shower. It just seems like things like that are short lived and I'm just stressed again soon after.

I'm not able to even start on my last class because it takes 24 hours after the reservation and my reservation hasn't been accepted yet :(

Honesty is a good thing but most people don't want to know whatcha do with ya junk. Just try to clear your head or something, drink some water.....I have no idea.

Take a few deep breaths, play minecraft and tackle it in an hour. Stress is a huge part in the army and if you cant deal with a small project like this think about how you'll do when you're on the two way range. And hey you wont have minecraft in the field. ;)

There are much more enjoyable things you can do with female colleagues to relieve stress.

Vodka
Play some video games to take your mind off things for a bit
Excercise
after the above things get a good night sleep and try not to focus on the problem. If there's nothing you can do to get your login faster than there is nothing you can do

Find something smaller and weaker then you are and give it a kick.

Just take a break and think out a schedule for yourself. Set your priorities basically. It has always helped me.

When I am very stressed out, I usually go on to youtube and listen to either very very very soothing music (such as violins, piano, etc), nature sounds like rain falling (thats all the nature sounds I listen to....), or find soothing voices that just randomly talk about nothing. The random talking gets me distracted from what I am thinking about, and the soothing voice calms me down and relaxes me. You might not like them but two very good ones are http://www.youtube.com/user/WhisperCrystal, and http://www.youtube.com/user/GentleWhispering. Look at their softly spoken stuff. The whispering kind of creeps me out a little...

Oh boy, let's murder a poor cat. :c I LOVE MY KITTY. :verymad:
OT: I don't know, try playing some music? Or perhaps making some yourself?
I play a lot of Piano, and that totally helps me relax. Guitar just makes me want to shred. c: :disguise: /sweeeeeg

You won't be able to relax period until you've finished all of those certifications. Wasting time trying to calm down is only going to hurt you more when all you really need to do is hunker down for an entire afternoon and knock them out.

Yeah, you're going to have exactly zero time to yourself that day between mustering and doing all those classes, and I mean zero, but that's the military. Sometimes you don't get to be relaxed, even when you're only doing classes and learning. Take it from me, I was in the Navy Nuclear Power program.

That said: I know a lot of guys who worked out to relieve stress. They hit the gym or went for a run, supposedly worked wonders. Personally this was a source of stress for me, so I was screwed either way, but chances are you're one of the normal people who gets positive mental benefits from exercise. :P

Try listening to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" Album while just laying there with your eye's closed. It always puts me in an almost surreal state of mind and chills me out pretty good.

Do as much as you can to progress things as far as you can now and then write a plan of action for things to do in the near future.
Just having a plan will help.

Also remember, in a hundred years, no one, including you, will care if it all goes wrong.

Music is the best stress reliever after six.six is only a good stress reliever when you're having with someone and not just yourself. To me anything that kind of pumps you up though might help relieve some stress and help you concentrate but it could also have the opposite result depending on how you are.

Don't stress, the solutions to your problem are very simple

You can do one (or more) of the following as necessary

1. Groveling
2. Bribery
3. Brown Nosing

Any combination of the three are likely to get you out of any detrimental situation and keep you in the good graces of your superiors.

i used to have alot of stress, until it broke me and now i am completely apathetic.

try having an emotional break down, or simulate apathy and recognize that the stress is just a delay tactic that people subconsiously do to put off what ever is making them stress out.

you like comedy/have a mp3, listen to some comedy podcasts while you take care of that stuff, mix some positive experiences with the negative and you may not have as much anxiety when ever you think about
the source of your stress.

thats all i can think off... btw fapping will not help any emotional problems, it just leads to disapointment.
