Striking The Heart - What's next?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 5:59 pm

I completed the Companion quest Striking The Heart (killed the leader at Treva's Watch) and reported to Aela. The quest shows completed in my journal. But there is no follow-up quest. I'm gonna have to console "fix" this by starting the next one.

What is supposed to be the next quest? UESP suggests Blood Honor and Stealing Plans... are both quests available through dialogues with different NPC's? Can I safely trigger both quests at the same time?

Better yet, is there a way to fix this without the console?

Edit: just want to clarify what the bug is: I've completed The Silver Hand but Aela and Kodlak are not giving me the Blood's Honor quest.

only trigger the stealing plans quest, i believe the other one is done by doing Farkas missions when you first join companions, although if you did do his missions and not aela then go with the other one, again i could be wrong but i think thats the way it is. also you could try talking to Kodlak, because after you do the mission you have just done he has one for you to do try that first.

Edit: Thanks, I did a more thorough search on the quest lines. I've completed The Silver Hand (by completing Striking The Heart and Retrieval). The next quest that should trigger is Blood's Honor, but I've just got no dialogs from the NPCs I'm supposed to. Very sloppy, Bethesda...

I've tried using SetStage cr04 <0, 1, 10, 20> but nothing seems to trigger. Any ideas how I can force this quest to start?

The SetStage command works for other quests, I can input "SetStage c05 0" to force the next quest line to start.

But "SetStage c04 0" doesn't do anything, and that's the correct quest ID according to UESP. Any ideas?

Bump.

Any ideas how I can force Blood's Honor to start? Aela and Kodlak are not giving me the dialog options to start this quest (I've been spoiled on the entire quest looking for answers... *grumble*) which breaks half the Companion quest line.

Console code for other Companion quests work EXCEPT this one. I've reinstalled and I'm on patch 1.2.
