Playing Skyrim on a PC platform.

As I understand it when you become a werewolf, only 3rd person view is possible; however once you return to your human form, you should be able to play in 1st or 3rd person view.

Since I started playing the game I've had no problems changing my point of view from 1st person to 3rd person through either scrolling the mouse wheel or using the F key.

I recently did the quest where I became a werewolf and was transported outside of under skyforge.

Ever since then I ve been unable to enter 1st person view no matter what I try Neither mouse wheel scrolling nor the F key work and I m permenantly in 3rd person view. I can zoom in and out in 3rd person view but never closer than the closest 3rd person view.

I've got an alternative character that has just become a werewolf. Whilst he is a werewolf, only 3rd person view is available as per my understanding. Once he transforms back to being a human, the 1st and 3rd person views become available.


However my initial/primary character does not allow the 1st person view once he has returned to human form. In other words I am stuck in 3rd person view no matter whether in human or werewolf form.

I obviously prefer playing in 1st person view, and am now totally frustrated that my initial/primary character can only play in 3rd person.

Any help to solve this would be appreciated.

I don't know of any trick to solve this glitch, but perhaps you could solve it by re-installing the game?

Making a backup of your save file would be recommended for this... wouldn't want to loose your data. :l

I'm getting used to 3rd person, and I think its really great! Maybe it's because of Dark Souls...

As a last resort I guess I will have to re-install. I am first going to test a saved game on another machine before I do a re-install. I was hoping that there might be a less drastic solution.

How long ago was your last save before becoming a werewolf? If it was only a couple of hours or so it might be worth losing them to get your preferred POV back.

If it's not very long I'd recommend this. I recently came across the never ending wind audio glitch and reverted about 10 hours back to get a save that wasn't bugged. Totally worth it.

Unfortunately I made the assumption that once I cured myself of being a werewolf the problem would be solved. So I played quite a bit, and when I cured myself the problem persisted. So to cut a long story short I only keep 3 saved games as I progress and my last "ok" save is long gone.

I don't know if this is any help or not but I ran into a similar problem when I was using an enchanter. I got stuck in 3rd person and on top of that collison was off and what little control I had on movement sent me through walls, floors, etc. Consoling collison on and off didn't help and eventually I accidently hit the "E" key again while I was trying to move and it took me back to 1st person. Other than that I'm at a loss on what else you could do.

Gave it a try, and unfortunately I was not so lucky.

I had the same glitch after mining, and accidently quit mining right b4 i finished. I had to reload, after trying literally everything, so i think thats the only thing u can do.

Doubt reinstalling the game is necessary, particularly if your other character works correctly. Go back to a save before you became a werewolf and do it again to clear your save of the glitch.
