Im stuck in alftand : V

So i think im stuck at the end. Killed centurion, then killed two guys near some sort of dwarven chest.The thing is, i cannot unlock it, it needs a key and i cant find it.

Yup, that puzzled me. You're in the cathedral, yeah? You lack a part of the mechanism, so all you can do is go up the lift back to Skyrim?

You can't go any further unless you have the key thing which is given to you on a key quest.

It's part of the Main Quest, a couple after you get to Alduin's Wall. There may be other quests that will give you the bit you need.

I'm in the same situation! So, what? We can't get out because we cannot climb the little cliff you have to jump off of! I definately do NOT want to waste the time redoing that. Is there ANY way out of the area to get the key to the device to get out the right way? I was trying to backtrace my steps, but I cannot go back any further since there doesn't seem to be a way to go up the cliff.
