I've tried everything for days now but can't seem to get rid of this choppy, stuttering that I get in games. Basically the sound will stutter, and the display will be choppy as it does. I've lowered my settings, raised them, changed resolutions, even made configs to get rid of shadows etc... but nothing seems to work. Has anyone had this problem before and solved it? The fact that I've changed visual settings with no difference really makes me think that this is a sound issue but I see no way of lowering the channels in the game or anything.

My system is as follows:

AMD 7550 Dual Core 2.5gz
4 GB Ram
ATI Radeon 5670
Realtek HD onboard sound
Windows 7
Directx 11

I am of course running through steam also.

Should go without saying but I've updated all of my drivers, namely directx, my realtek drivers and catalyst drivers
