Subtracting skill value from actor?

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 9:48 am

Hey. I'm trying to create an NPC. When in the "stats" tab it says for example "One-handed" - "Total: 62". If I put 20 in offset the total become 82, logically. Though the problem is that I can't seem to find out how to subtract the total. For instance if i want the total to be just 60. I've tried "-2" in offset, but it doesn't work.

Help is much appreciated!

Stop bumping.

When you create a new NPC, as long as you never touch the Auto Calc Stats check box, all skills will be 5 and will not change regardless of the level you set and the class you designate. You can then set the offsets how you like. Minimum value for all skills is 5.

Once you touch the Auto Calc Stats check box, the skill levels will, assuming your NPC is level 1, be set to the default for the race, regardless of the class you designate. Minimum value for all skills is race defaults. This will stick, even if you uncheck the Auto Calc Stats check box. You can select another race and check/uncheck the Auto Calc Stats check box, and then go back and reselect your race again. Picking DremoraRace for example would set them all back to 15.

From there, you can change class and NPC level and the Auto Calc Stats function will set skills based on level and class, building on top of the race defaults. Custom classes can be added if there's nothing there that suits.
