Subway Town Phase II Expansion Coming Soon!

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 1:30 am

In Subway Town, during the last story missions, a room is being raided by the Authority at the 2nd floor. Also at later part of the story, down at the first floor where you talked to Foreman Jones for the "Mutant Expansion" (your first mission from Stone) there is now a block with the sign that says "Subway Town Phase II Expansion Coming Soon!".

Here's my theory on a possibly big chunk of dlc: The room that was raided by the Authority, there were two men inside that you had opportunity to eavesdrop on before the raid. My guess is they are characters for a co-op that's gonna be set in the Subway Towb Phase II Expansion.

Don't let your conjecture get the best of you.

That could just be there for immersion. Too make you feel like the Authority actually carry out all the tyrannical acts you hear of throughout the game. You hear a lot of talk about how the Authority are these horrible, evil tyrants but you never see much, that could just be one way to show players more of the Authority's dark side.

Personally, I'm not someone who gets caught up in speculation. I wait until I hear an official announcement. Conjecture like this is fun, but ultimately never answers questions and I've found 98% of the time it's no where near the truth. Look at the Skyrim thread back when that was first announced. I didn't even bother going there until Bethesda released more information.

Have you read up on the "hidden buttons" and hidden "sewer script" where you have to find these randomly scatter pixels to click on, which throws some phantom button, then opens some hidden elevator... they are scattered in at least 5 of the sewers I think it is... the dev/sig/trophy room, the gold posts achievement, doom room, wolfenstein room, quake room,...

on...

and on...

and on...

This game has more easter eggs than missions - don't hold your breath, id's 'messages' are MUCH more hidden.

Kind of cheeky to put coming soon like an advertisemant for the dlc in the game. Some gamers might not take to kindly to that, me myself i find it moderately amusing and good catch. There is also an area that will be opened up in the first Wasteland near that crazy persons place or so they say.

Nice thinking. I would also say don't hold your breath but you never know. I mean, It does make sense. I hate to keep comparing it to Fallout, but New Vegas had very obvious pre-determined "spots" in the vanilla mojave that the DLC branched from unlike Fallout 3. There's no reason why another game wouldn't follow suit.

I would honestly like to see a co-op horde/escalation/whatever mode added, as well as Gun Barrel missions and maybe some more Subway Town...Subway Town was just so short. If they added Gun Barrel and one more new town I would definitely bite.

It merely seems akin to the Lonesome Road DLC launch point in FO:NV as it had a message beckoning the player

There are a whole lot of dorrs int he came that you yout the exclaimation triangle sign for, so i am sure there are going to be a lot of wareas opening up.

GBut i would really like ot see this OP idea in future DLC.

I can only guess that the Authroity would be scrambling to hold onto iny civilian outposts they currently occupy, to secure a foothold before the ark survivors come to the realization of whats happened. Deep down in a subway tunnel, perhaps in an area that is "no a through street" would be a really good place to hole up, and would be a fitting place for a grat batle, considering the resistance is right under their collective nose.

In the launch trailer, you also see some Authority soldiers kick in a door in Subwaytown, which I never observed while playing the game - so it's possible that it's from some upcoming DLC about that.

Nope that is already in the game.

You see it the first time you go to subway town when all the authority guys take it over.

It is the same door that before the authority show up you can hear a secret conversation with the door slightly open before it gets shut as you are listening.
