My suggestions for Skyrim

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 10:39 am

I don't know if there is another place to put this, but I will post this here:

Here are my suggestions for an already great game:

* Fast travel to the front door of your house (similar to the Thieve's Guild fast travel)
* Outfits (like World of Warcraft) I want to change from my battle outfit to my city outfit with one button.
* Drunk effects: 'nuff said

That's all I can think of. Oh, those can also be mod ideas I guess, but I play on the 360.

1) Better character animation.
2) More character interaction.

The combat system is good enough as it is, please don't waste any more time improving it some more.

Less Bugs
More content (Blackreach), jobs, business, build your house/shack, create your own guild, more interesting spawns.

- The character should be affected by temperature. (especially swimming in freezing water)
- More choices of dialogue for roleplay purposes.
- Which race you play should affect the environment/dialogue/story more.
- Longer quest lines.

I came up with some more:

* The ability to craft arrows (maybe require materials to make the quiver)
* Add light Daedric armor. (I'm jealous)
* Increase skill cap (150 in Smithing, Speech, etc)

Fletching your own arrows would be a great addition...

Racial quests, racial guilds, in general more mechanics that have a focus on what race you play.

I would make a grocery list of things I would suggest, but my fingers would eventually hurt, and someone will surely call me a dreamer by saying,

'Never gonna happen.'

Darn people who can apparently tell the future! And here I am stuck being a mere mortal >:C

Go for it. I am interested to hear that. :hugs:

I can rant but I won't spoil the fun, too tired now
  • Over coats and knee coats - I wanna see coats, but Tamriel's fashion styles dislikes this
  • Ability to reason with bandits - Makes Speech skill useful

For all of the "Have to eat/rest/drink/wear proper clothing" people, I agree, so long as it's optional.

More end game money sinks such as a large mansion to build or a business to run.
More clothing styles (I WANT HATS AND GLASSES!)
More open ended quests

* When sitting at a table, give an option to eat the food, not take it. (I don't know why I want this)
* Let my Dark Elf get married*
* More People
* More Dialogue options
* Ability to befriend guards (they begin to notice you, start conversation, etc)

Racial quests, racial guilds, in general more mechanics that have a focus on what race you play.

This. Also:
  • Fix dialogue, first and foremost. Real choices with consequences. At least CHOICES.
  • Dungeon Puzzles. Real puzzles. I don't care if they steal from Zelda to do it, just do it.
  • Horseback combat-- melee weapons, bow, or magic
  • Horses with different characteristics depending on where you get them (i.e. Whiterun=speed, Markarth=better climbing/health, etc)
  • An ability to "whistle" for your horse when it's in the vicinity (i.e. Red Dead Redemption)
  • A city that is actually a city. More buildings, more people, etc.
  • In said city ^, have an arena where you can fight for gold and fame
  • NPC recognition of your alignment (i.e. run in fear, shower with compliments, remain neutral, etc)
  • Becoming a guild master means SOMETHING (I was GM of the Thieve's Guild and the guild bartender says "So you're x's new whelp, eh?")
  • Have towns react appropriately to dragon attacks-- citizens run, guards form up and fight.
  • Diversify quests, even something as simple as helping the town guards set up defenses against an oncoming dragon attack
  • MOAR SPELLZ!!!1!111!!
  • Fix crafting so low level items give diminishing returns (WoW-esque format)
  • Make cooking a full fledged crafting skill, with a perk tree
  • Make useless perks useful (i.e. speech, lockpicking, etc)
  • Edit: And more voice actors, or force the actors you do have to talk a little differently for a different NPC
  • Edit 2: Ref. Guilds: Be able to send your guild members on quests, customize your guild house, recruit new members, etc.
  • Edit 3: There should be items in the game that cannot be bested by crafted items, make them insanely hard to get sure-- but they should exist.

Id like something to do with my dwemer items like crafting a steam powered robot companion, and something to with the "torture tools" both the rare find items and the chamber in the dark brotherhood lair.

I am a Console player. All of my suggestions can be solved by ethier DLC or by allowing mods to consoles.

Primary Concerns:
  • More patches. Less bugs, the better
  • A different enviornment. (As Shivering Isles was to Cyrodill. A new Daedric realm visit would be sweet.)
  • House DLC's from Oblivion were okay.
  • Quest DLC's from Fallout were amazing.
I want...
  • A guild-creation system that won't destroy lore
  • More animation
  • Guild conflictions
  • NPC's to appropriately recognize me
  • More challenging enemies. (Bosses)

I know PC Mods can mainly solve ALL OF THIS. But I am NOT a PC player.

Differing movement speeds(not just running, but quickness too) for a studious mage and a dexterous...oops....stamina-ous rogue.

Differing jumping heights for the same two characters.
