Suggestions for Specialized weapons

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 11:29 am

So let's say you have a combat knife with 1 damage, 0.01 critical multiplier yet 100 critical damage, how would you feel about it?

this is just an example of what for me are specialized weapons. The above knife is only effective if you happen to land a sneak attack critical which sums up to more than 200 damage (calculated with perks, sneak attack critical which is 2x crit damage, etc...) which is mostly an instant kill for most creatures out there...

That knife suits my combat style perfectly, since I'm a sneak/sniper character and in interiors I tend to use melee weapons to sneak behind an enemy and stab it/him/her, so I made a mod for myself which is a knife with these same stats.

and now, I wanna know how your fighting style is and how would be the perfect weapon for your style, and call it you "specialized" weapon, since I'm planning on making a mod featuring special weapons that only "works" in one way and I'm really open to suggestions.

Oh maybe this should go to mods section whatsoever, but I don't have it very clear...

A P90 would be nice 50rds, just saying lol :gun:

That would fit the guy im playing now Close range run and gun. Small compact, High rate of fire, large round cap would have a very high DPS, and a melee wep with good DPS

I use a Scoped Hunting rifle. Being sniper based it is a good all around weapon, I can find ammo around has good damage and it's bullets are not as heavy as the Anti-Materiel rifle's half pound bullets!

I would like it if I could wear 2 gauntlet type weapons.. one on each hand. I'm sure it would be overpowered, but it would still be fun.

I prefer sneaky unarmed, charge-on two-handed melee, or long-range sniping. :)
The example you made with the knife... That's one of those kind of weapons I love: Overall bad, but in one specific situation/condition, it really shines.

Twin Rocket Launcher, A bigger version of the Missile Launcher which fires two rockets that follows a heat-seeking pattern. (Does not work against ghouls, robots, lakelurks or insects.)

other example:

AM Rifle that will only deal 25% of damage if the enemy's DT is below certain value since the round will just price through the body and will make it a "clean shot" not killing the victim unless it's aimed at the head, if the enemy's DT is high enough the bullet will stay inside the body and deal full damage. Clean shots instantly cripple's the aimed limb and instantly kills if happen on he head.

OP: you realize there is the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Abilene_Kid_LE_BB_gun?

I personally love it, even though it has poor durability.....

Orbital strikes. *THAT* is a good time.

Or a sniper rifle. A nice, long shot with a sniper rifle is exactly my style of play.

Dual-wielding knives or machetes would also be fun, but I can live without it.

What about Fire Ants?

Well, it wont work on them right away, they need to spit their fire first in order for them to gain warmth in their jaws and then it will work on them.

Most times my fighting style is to run screaming and blame all my screwups on sawyer his shoes and his dog too while displaying the combat skills of a fat guy falling down stairs wearing roller skates in a hurricane... while on fire wearing a wetsuit and a pink tutu...

Plasma Rifle with some corrosive damage that eats away at limbs, DT and health, the corrosive effect can stack, the initial damage on the other hand would need to be slightly lowered since it would be pretty powerful.
