There are three or four things I dislike:
1. First and foremost, the loading screens on the PS3 reduce the experience even with fast tracking.
If that could be improved to any degree, I would take that improvement.
2. Yes, it is an RPG and you can do what you want, and there is a main quest line should you not know what you want to do. But there is lack of localisation which on the PS3 increases the amount of loading screens. Basically, I think, there should be an option to organise quests by Town (finish all quests for that town so less loading screens). This would also help with the lack of sensation of time which for me is a con. Time should be more involved, and would be cool if each town had a daily newspaper.
3. The AI, of course, could be improved. Stealing is too easy, NPC's often cannot easily and quickly get to positions you can get too, behind stairway, on top of something, they are scared of water etc... If you enter an NPC's house for the first time, without talking to them, they don't always follow you around, they should not give warnings if they catch you during a break in ( I wouldn't ). Certain items I would like to highlight though, lock picking seems just right, and mages unlike oblivion, seem to be less powerful than physical tanks which I like. Also, there is not much of a sense that the NPC's are living beings (change only seems to occur through quest progression and seldom otherwise).
4. A lack of forced randomness of stuff happening to the character, i.e., getting attacked while sleeping ( you must include this if you have not) Because the game flow seems repetitive after a while, so that kind of randomness is always welcome. So in skyrim you came up with about 500 quests, I propose 500 forced randomness events mostly towards the player. This would add more humour and would be much appreciated I assure you. I don't particularly enjoy alchemy, but that might just be me. I do like cooking vegetable soup, however
. The random dragon attack attacks are good; I wished they used their tail more, and that some of them had sharp wing edges; it is dragon scales after all which is what ultimate armour is made of right.Overall, I like the game a lot, but do feel I have to put it down from time to time ( due to boredom or repeatedness) which isn't a bad thing I guess. I am the harshest of critics, and can find all faults in a product, you need not hear me say you did a very good with Skyrim particularly with the amount of contributors.
