Sunset sarsaparilla star bottle caps

Post » Thu Feb 10, 2011 7:43 am

I have found a few star caps now and have hade some one warn me that I should be careful, I even spoke to someone just out side of nelson asking if I saw the girl he was with try to kill him over his lucky necklace made of star caps, so I shot him in the face and stole them. But my question is, is there a point to collecting these caps or is it just a waste of time? Please if anyone can enlighten me I would appreciate it

Non-spoiler: The caps do something, yes. The first guy who talked to you about them should have mentioned a guy named Festus. Festus is real.

Thank you, I'll keep on looking for them. Is it worth it?

What a silly question, you bought the game, you determine what quests you want to do or not do.

Me? I'm doing everything. As a point of reference, the caps aren't really hard to come by, there's like 100 in the game laying around and you can get them randomly from drinking Sunset sarsaparilla so if you just casually collect them before you know it you'll have enough.

The Sunset Sarsaparilla Factory has Festus in it, to your immediate right as you walk in, IIRC (the factory is outside New Vegas, and you have to go there for another side quest as well). Festus will fill you in on the quest if you missed what the other characters told you. I thought he was fun to meet after hearing about him, although I haven't finished the quest yet.
