Hi,

I'm planning to buy the id superpack somewhen in the next few weeks and I wonder:

Can I use sourceports like zDoom with the games of steam and mods in general? (I'm especially thinking of Quake 2s Berserk mod here)

Also: Are there any negative side effects if I play the games on steam instead of "getting them somewhere" and just play them with a normal sourceport or DosBox?
