"I surrender! Please don't kill me!"

When they do kneel down begging to surrender it would be awesome if you could perform an automatic death animation on them. And also if they did actually surrender.

This post just inspired me. I play an archer and I normally just shoot the surrendering people ASAP to get them out of the fight. However, I now like the idea of letting them drag themselves off the ground so I can give them a humiliating death. As an archer I have no cool finishing moves so I think I'll pull out the old sword to finish those fake surrenders off from now on!

I wait for them to get up, swing my sword and hope for an execution.

I had this happen the other day when I came upon a bandit camp behind Whiterun atop of the cliff. I killed all but one of them who was an archer, I shot her once and she immediatly collapsed and said "I yeild", so I decided not to kill her, as I was turning around to walk off I get popped with another arrow as she says " you shouldn't have come here" so I decide to bull charge her and use my Unrelenting Force shout. She flew back several feet and rolled, and she stopped just before the edge of the cliff, she got up and began to draw her bow and took one step back to far and fell to her death. It was one of those moments when I wish I had been able to record it.

This is so true. At one point (in the main quest) I had three people with me, and a dog. Still, a solitary thief comes up and tries to rob me. Is he mad?
I agree with you that there's not a lot of I in the AI, radiant or not, but there are many times when I, a solitary warrior haven taken on several opponents at once...

When beating bandits and Imperial guards to death, occasionally they get badly wounded and often curl up and beg for mercy, saying they've "had enough". At first I would sometimes try to show compassion and maybe take a prisoner or teach them a lesson, but I've never seen an enemy surrender or give up the fight at that point. They always get back to their feet and fight to the death.

Is it even possible that some of these foes will actually surrender or at least quit fighting?
This is when I strike the killing blow. :gun:

P.S. Bethesda really needs to add a few smileys with swords...

One guy ran off from me, but he went down a hall, and when I got near, he started shooting again. I was going to let him live if he'd actually gotten out of there.
