I surrender..

I've tried, I have really tried...

I've tried everything here and elsewhere to get the game working in an acceptable way after the last patching and I have to give up before i burst a blood vessel in frustration. never ever have I encountered a game that is released in good working order and then broken by such poorly coded patches. Patches which I am forced to accept.

I just fail to grasp what the logic is - so many things that worked in early play no longer work... quests that worked seamlessly are now impossible to compete without using the damn console, basic things don't work anymore such as Dragonrend doing nothing more than giving dragons a nice blue aura while they carry on about their business.

This game has ceased being enjoyable when the only way to get through 30% of the quests involves looking up console codes on the interweb because they don't trigger, many of these quests that worked fine before the patches.

Just glad that ME3 is out soon which will work from the box... and if it doesn't the company will tell us what they are doing to fix it , then fix it once and for all.

Skyrim launched as a flawed but great masterwork and has been patched into oblivion (sorry).

i was excited about me3.... up until EA did the most idiotic thing they could have and made certain steam would never have it.. and that EA's origin would be a requirement.... resulting in the potential for it to be pirated by a factor of 10million.

@ OP - Your problems are not representative of the most players, in fact I have never heard anyone having the same issues as yourself. You might want to post your specs and settings here and perhaps try a fresh install because obviously something went wrong with your installation.

Are you using mods as well?

Oh crap, ME3 is going to be loaded with EA DRM? Fark, Frak, Damnit. *Insert Chevy Chase rant from Christmas vacation about the dike who decided to do this*. Well I really wanted to buy that game too, real shame that I won't now.

Specs:

Intel Corei7 2.67
nVidia GTS450 card
12 GB Corsaire RAM

No mods running, just the product as supplied via Steam.

Have already re-installed and restarted the game several times over and my problems are experienced over several 100 hours of play time.

And for those who think these problems are not common everything I have experienced is documented by others so I don't think this is something limited to my set up.

But the point of utter annoyance is that on my first and second play throughs the same exact quests were working just fine

So true. They are their own worst enemy and will probably use the piracy as an excuse to stop PC dev.

Hrm, on the up side perhaps moves like this will help encourage some of their awesome scene directors to jump ship and combine their efforts with Bethesda to get ME/DA style NPC dialogs going. That's probably like one of the best things going for Bioware right now.

Posts edited and deleted for unnecessary comments - and lay off the piracy discussions please.
