I swear someone at S.D. loves the Resistance

Okay maybe it's just me but it seems like the Resistance has it so much easier on the new maps. Their attacking mission is shorter and much easier to accomplish and when they get to defend it's ridiculously easy. Anyone else seeing this?

I cant check the results of the lab matches (not showing up on xbox stat site for some reason) but in my opinion its a lot easier for security to defend labs than for resistance to defend the tower. I think both maps are amazing, its great to finally see the SMART system having a major impact on the game. I only played each map 2-3 times but it seemed like there were a lot more options as far as how to approach the objectives.
Going to take me a few more play throughs to figure them out, kept getting lost last night haha.

Lab is very very very easy to defend, but also easy to attack.
Founders tower is a brilliant map, no matter what side your on, i love it. Also Limey>sad punk.

I will agree that both maps are really great and are more fun than just about any of the stock maps. I having this feeling we might not see anymore DLC for Brink and that would be a real shame.

NAH! LOL... SP > Limey.

Both outfits didn't even turn out how I thought they'd be. Still cool though. The Sad Punk makes you like a ninja as a Light body. It's schweet! :D

Here's how I see the maps breaking down...

Labs. It is certainly a crazy little map. The biggest hurdle for Resistance is planting a charge. After that, very downhill. The repair room is so open and uniform that neither side has a major advantage, so with some savvy play the Resistance can quickly set defenses to cover Engineers, and once the sample is captured it's pretty much over.

Founder's Tower.
Very very easy defense for Resistance. Even when a hack was started I haven't seen Security be able to set up a proper perimeter to defend before Resis is back in there cutting through to kill the hackbox. On the other side, Security has to go through hell to get to the hack, with two killing lanes to the objective both virtually from the same point, from a defender's perspective. Removing the obstacle isn't overly rough to defend or take, it's mostly about who can get control and keep it long enough. Getting to that office door. . . a nightmare. It seems such a long run as you're constantly having to climb up, and by the time you get there if you made any headwork killing off Resistance members, they're back! Just horrible. Then the detonator, then running the detonator. . .

The way I see it, the DLC maps are much more favorable to Resistance. The further you get in each map, the harder it is for Sec, either defending Labs or assaulting Tower.

Last night I won this map twice as Resistance and twice as Security so I don't think the balance is that bad.

Also I kinda like doing tougher missions so the feeling of victory is so much better

Yeah as much as I love the map itself, I really never want to play as the Security on it again. It's just sheer torture really. You summed it up perfectly.
