A Sword to Go With Ebony Armor : V

I don't really like the look of the ebony sword, and I can't be the only one. It looks so...ugly. And I'm a bit OCD, so I don't want to use a sword that doesn't match, per say, my favorite Ebony Armor. So, are there any swords that you guys think really goes with the Ebony Armor? Thanks for any help in advance.

Yea the Ebony sword looks like it would never hold up in a real life battle. Kinda looks like a knife with an extremely long handle. Only other thing i could think of to go with it would be Daedric since their isn't a umbra in this game.

The blades katanas are darkly colored. There are some in sky haven temple ( after the quest) if you havn't seen them and just want see what you think.

If you've invested perks into the one hand skill already then go with the Ebony Blade. It's base damage svcks but after killing 10 people who trust you the absorb health makes it a very viable weapon. It doesn't need to be charged with soul gems and, although it's 2 handed, it swings much faster than a great sword. I'm currently using it with my ebony armor.

Ebony blade is my favorite, it seems to fit perfectly... yes its two handed but put it behind an ebony quiver and it looks bad ass... I personally hate the ebony helmet so my choice is the Masque of Clavicus Vile... Suits very well.

I prefer axes honestly. They seem to be a bit more "wicked" looking than the ebony swords. But.. if I had to choose one, I'd agree on the Nightingale Blade.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the Ebony weaponry either. There's some serious differences from the armor and the weapons, whereas the armor is sleek and menacing without crossing into the Deadric Armors turf, the weapons are alien and almost Falmer-esque. Like the Orcish and Daedric weapons decided to have strange weapon babies.

Are you on PC? If you are get the Jaysus swords mod. Every sword in the mod is better looking than the standard weapons in the game and have good stats that are useable well into the game.

I'm currently in the mid 40's level wise and I'm still using one I forged at lvl 20.

Yea i agree with above. The Dawnbreaker is a great compliment to the Ebony Armor. You get the look of the Nightingale with that gleam of the Dawnbreaker..."out of the darkness..light will prevail..."
