In F3 I roleplayed a pure blade class using sword, dagger, switchknife.

I wish to do the same.

there will be scrap swords a long sword of scrap metal. as well as the classic selection of knives plus tribal spears and what not.

you mean other than the fact that you may or may not be working with a group of individuals who style themselves after the Roman legion?

The only bladed weapon I've seen CL use from the promos so far is the one resembling the Broad Machete that comes with the Amazon pre-order:

i always liked using the electrified sword you get from operation anchorage cause i felt like it resembled a light saber. but id like to see a bowie knife like the one used in book of eli

Yes, there will be. I'm rather hoping for a sword that launches your enemies at a ridiculous speed, and having their bodies explode on impact. It could be called the Noob Sword.

A gladius only makes sense if it's used in the "Roman Way". It isn't a weapon for a classic swordfight like in a hollywood movie, you know, two people slashing and crossing blades for minutes.
It's designed for quick stabbing moves behind a wall of shields, thus making the roman legions the best army mankind has ever seen at this time.

So someone played FO3 using only a knife and an officers sword? Badass....but prolly extremely tedious.

Anyway for a wasteland setting this game suprisingly lacks improvised and melee weapons, or at least FO3 did.

Although I could never bring myself to use melee weapons in FO3, the combat reminded me of the combat mechanics in Silent Hill....awkward and painful.

i used the unbreakable jinweii shock sword a lot...... also if you want to know how to get you just shoot jinweiis hand intill he drops his sword
