SWTOR Discussion

Is there anyone on the forums still playing Swtor? Let's talk, how do you like patch 1.2, past operation's ext.

I'm on the Harbinger server, Republic. I have been running a guild almost since the game was launched. As life picked up I realized that it's not worth doing this. So I pvssyd with the higher ranked officer in the guild and we picked the right person. So I stepped down from guild leader, did not even want to be an Officer just a normal player and I'm having so much more fun. Patch 1.2 has been great it's a shame the game was not released at the time 1.2 came out. Not sure how long I will stay subscribed to the game but all seems well now.

Let me know what server you are on and I will post your name and server below here if you would like.

I'm still playing, I got the game in mid-February, and have been playing a few days each week.
I'm on the Zaalbar server, Empire. I have two characters: 1 Operative at level 50 (finished the MQ), and 1 Sith Marauder at level 17 (currently on Balmorra).

I'm waiting to see if the rumours of HK-51 being added as a companion in 1.3 are true.

I renewed last week and canceled already. There were only SIX people on Taris on my server every single day that I tried to play. Could (obviously) not do any group quests or flashpoints. Chat was dead. I asked Bioware to move my character to a better server and they said 'oh we're wokring on that, this june you'll be able to do character transfers' and I was like yeah screw you guys I'm done for good.

Plus I realized how annoying it is to go to a new place. You have to quick travel to the place outside the hangar, walk forever through the hangar to your ship, go through about 6 loading screens between your ship and a new planet and then walk forever to get anywhere. Really dumb system of travel. It should be easier and quicker to get between planets. Besides the other planets were devoid of life anyway.

They are going to fix that. There going to add a transport ship to fleet travel system so you can skip that space station in between unless it's your first time traveling to a planet. They are going to add free server transfers to everyone on an unpopulated server also. If you get a security code you can buy fleet passes that allow you to beam up into the Fleet.

By the sounds of it you have not got a speeder yet? They allow for getting around a planet fast.

I haven't played in a couple months, but I have a number of characters on the Vornskr server. I plan to dive back in, soon.

They can fix it all they want, I'm not going back. They've had plenty of time to fix all the stuff, but I think in reality people just don't play it and more are leaving, especially when Guild Wars 2 hits, so if I want to MMO, I'll just go to WoW which has a dedicated and solid community and a solidified experience. You know what you'll get with WoW. I'm not paying $15 a month for a beta. I wouldn't even call SWTOR a beta yet.

I'm on the port Nowhere server and semi-regretting paying for a 6month sub atm. Played beta and there are things they are just releasing now that should have been in beta to begin with. One thing that caused the biggest hemorrhaging of players was the announcement of Ranked Warzones being canceled. This could be attributed to the low server populations and cross queing not being implemented, but it just really let down many people.

Speaking personally I will be surprised if the game actually stays afloat for the rest of the year before EA decides to pull the plug on it calling it a complete loss.

When I'm on Progenitor or Garth DArsomething on prime time the servers are always full of people. Not sure why people are leaving.

Got only level 34 so far.

Server population isn't an issue, it's the concurrent number of players on at a given time that is an issue. Also, ranked warzones weren't canceled, rather, they were pushed back due to some other issues that BioWare wanted to work out. Likely cross-server matches.

I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that the game will be canceled within the year. It's doing well enough all considered.

I've got a level 50 Sith Juggernaut and level 30 Jedi Shadow on the Perlemian Trade Route server. I like the game. I hope it can stay afloat.

Still Play, still love it. Probably because I don't play it for the fact that it is an MMO I play it for the fact that it is Star Wars. It is very easy to play it as a single player game. I really hate when something goes wrong and all these idiots say "I'm going back to WOW". It's ridiculous, lol. My server has like 5-6 people on during the day but at night it jumps up to 50-65 on popular places. I love Legacy, I just think it levels WAAAAAY to slow! I think there is a misconception that this game is doing Poorly, it isn't it is doing great.

Pft Starwars is piece of crap without Bioware and other very talented writers. I only played it for Bioware.

Hell great they all returned to WoW. They never realizes you cannot replace WoW with something else, they shouldn't even attempt to leave that game. I'm glad they're not back.

I love it that it levels very slow, I get to enjoy growing up instead of omfg powerleveling and skip all conversations. This game have very solid story background, ten times far superior than any other MMORPGs out there. It's perfect place to gather rpers. The way Blizzard stomps its lore made RPers felt left with a sore in the mouth. I had far more solid and interested RPing in this game than in WoW or Rift, thanks to the rich game settings. Meeting with others alts and mains are always interesting with this newly implemented legacy system.

What I meant by that is I don't play it for the fact that other people play it or I can play with other people, I play it for the great story. The only story I haven't liked so far is the Jedi Knight, I felt it was kind of dull. Still doing the Inquisitor story and loving it. The Bounty Hunter felt a bit slow at first but now it has really taken off for me. Also I love how it is fully voiced.

I couldn't bring myself to play a game I had paid for....for 2 months worth.

The game is really fun if you find someone to play it with.

Try doing a world boss operation, I'm addicted to them.
